Our head Professor, Braulio Estima is a 4th degree black belt, claiming multiple world champion titles and ADCC open weight and superfight champion. He is considered to be one of the top BJJ competitors of all time, and is also renowned for his in depth and personal teaching style. Our academy is located very close to the city centre, and we offer classes to kids from 3 years and above as well as adult classes and fitness programmes. Our school has also been very successful in producing professional competitors and champions at an international level. Gracie Barra Birmingham is a certified Gracie Barra school, offering the very highest standard and quality of jiu jitsu teaching. We offer classes for all, including kids classes starting from 3 years old and up, adult classes for those of all knowledge and ability levels. Our experienced instructors also offer private classes to individuals or groups to further enhance students’ understanding of jiu jitsu. Our brightly lit facility boasts a mat space of 200 square metres, using the best matting available. There are changing rooms with showers, a pro shop for your uniform needs. Gracie Barra Birmingham has a dedicated team of world class instructors, highly experienced in teaching children and adults of all ability levels

Our Tiny Champions programme is built especially for 3 and 4 year olds, taking their very first steps onto the mats.

Through fun games and simple movements we help little ones develop balance, coordination and grip strength, all while learning to share, cooperate and follow a routine. Every class is short, active and full of energy, designed around how young children naturally learn and grow.

It is the perfect first introduction to Jiu Jitsu, building confidence and focus that carries into everyday life.

🥋 GB3, advanced training for blue belts and above

Available to GB Birmingham members only.

We’ll be adding more and more new classes to give our members more choice, more progression, and more value from their membership. Helping our youngest students build confidence and coordination, and giving experienced students access to more advanced training

This is another step in improving the timetable and investing back into the academy.
