We're back! After months of preparation, our teams played their first development and competitive fixtures this weekend.

A massive well done to all players for the hard work, effort and determination on the pitch today.

We are incredibly proud of you all and can't wait to see you progress this season!

Lots of our teams getting their season started today, with our girls teams kicking off yesterday!

It’s incredible to see so many young players enjoying their football with us. We can’t wait for another great season ⚽️

Our Wildcats & Squad Girls are absolutely flying 🚀💜

These girls just keep going from strength to strength!

Today, many of the girls played their first game in Maypole colours for our U10 Lionesses.

We’re also in the final stages of establishing our U12 team, offering another opportunity for lots of the girls to play for one of our teams.

Huge recognition must go to our U14 Lionesses who have supported at these sessions over the last few weeks, passing on their knowledge and supporting the next generation.

All our girls are extremely lucky to be led by highly qualified coaches and experts in their field.

Setting the standard, our Leadership Team members join forces to deliver these sessions each week. A massive thank you to Nikki, Harvey, Jay and Callum for all their hard work and energy!

We’re proud of what we’re building and we’re not stopping just yet 😤

Final preparations for the 2026-27 season took place with our managers and coaches on Thursday.

We covered important changes for the new season, our ethos, expectations, player development and the importance of working together. We also had a real focus on safeguarding, understanding the signs, what to look out for, how to support players and our reporting process.

We want to ensure that our coaches feel confident in their role, enhancing understanding and awareness. We’re deeply committed towards developing our coaches both on and off the pitch so that they can be in the best possible position to help our young people thrive.

As the summer holidays come to an end, we look back on a hugely successful camp at Maypole FC this year ⛱️⚽️

We always aim to create an environment where our young people feel comfortable, confident and capable. To make this happen, we developed a programme combining sport with sociability, teaching real life, transferable skills and supporting growth.

Through a variety of sports and activities, children had the opportunity to broaden their understanding, step out of their comfort zone, build confidence and develop resilience. It was amazing to see so many young people surprise themselves over the 4 weeks!

A massive thank you to Bring it on Brum for supporting us and helping to make our camp possible!

As we prepare for the 2026-27 season, our Leadership Team delivered bespoke talks for our parents, carers and families.

We touched on our ethos and club vision, key team members, communication enhancements, policy changes, our commitment to safeguarding, player development and the importance of working together.

We’d like to thank all our families for making the effort to attend, we appreciate your engagement and support.

Wishing all our U16/U17 players and any other Year 11 leavers collecting GCSE results tomorrow the very best of luck.

Whatever happens, be proud of how far you’ve come and the progress you’ve made to this point.

Remember that your grades most definitely do not define who you are and what you will become. This is only the start of a much bigger journey!
