We are holding auditions for athletes interested in joining the BodyPower Athlete team. This is a new sponsored team for the UK.
We are looking for those that want to join an interactive team to develop, and learn. There are various opportunities for team members, and in the group we have a number of experts who give regular sessions on training, nutrition, profile raising, competing and Q&A's.
We have two groups 1. Athlete team - you will already have a superb physique, be knowledgeable and credible. 2. Academy group - you have a great attitude, lots of potential and want to develop yourself , so that you can move to the athlete team.
The process is via an online audition, date options are shown on the registration page. There will be a number of officials, and you will be asked couple of questions, asked to show your physique (we are not expecting stage ready) and offered the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Auditions are done via Zoom, and there are limited numbers to each group so that the waiting time is minimised.

Great news, it looks like gyms will be staying open, at least in some areas... hopefully the stupid decision to close gyms anywhere will be reversed.

In the event of a spike we would like you not to close gyms as a measure to stop any spread of Covid. Also for gyms to not be put in the same group as pubs in terms of risk or importance. Gyms are following strict guidelines and most members are following rules in a sober manner.

Some interesting stats on how safe gyms are in reality, from Uk Active...
Gyms and leisure facilities in England have seen more than 22 million visits since reopening but just 78 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among customers, according to new figures published by ukactive.
Data from over 1500 facilities across the nation shows that the prevalence of the virus within the sector’s facilities remains extremely low, measured from 25 July to 13 September, and that very few people are visiting gyms with the virus.
Based on the data reported, the number of cases per 100,000 visits is 0.34, showing that protocols for monitoring and reporting the virus in the sector are helping to reduce the risk to visitors.
So to summarise, gyms are low risk environments for covid.
