Today we returned to brandhall to face Knowle Tigers. Starz started the game strong but after a few early missed chances knowle came back into the game hitting the woodwork a couple of times.
Midway through the first half it was the visitors who broke the deadlock. 1-0
Despite being a goal down Starz continued to push forward and were rewarded with a penalty. Layts converted the spot kick to draw us level 1-1
Unfortunately for us it was Knowle who found the net again not long before the break. Half time 2-1
In a relatively even second half chances were at a premium. Both sides battled well across the pitch but at times were unable to find the final ball into the opponent's final third.
6 minutes from time Starz won a corner which was swung in and what appeared to be a scramble on the goal line the ball ended up in the net!. One for the dubious goals panel! However we didn't mind,.cue the celebrations!. 2-2
Rallied by the late equaliser it was starz who then looked the more likely to grab all 3 points late on. Creating a couple of good shooting opportunities but the win today wasn't to be.
