I'm feeling refreshed after the TCAA summer course in Cornwall 😎

My fellow teacher Bea runs the Brighton Tai Chi class and has written this brilliant blog post capturing her impressions of the summer course and her experience of the training.

(If you have any friends living near to her class, please urge them to give it a try - she's a great teacher!)

Classes here in Kings Heath start up again after our summer break on Wednesday 2nd September ☯️

I’ve just returned from an inspiring week of summer training in Sennen, Cornwall, having travelled from Brighton to join fellow instructors and students from across our Tai Chi association. Every year, twice a year, our teachers come together to train, share ideas and continue developing our skill...

Tai chi class is back tonight at Kings Heath Community Centre at our usual time 6.30-8.00pm.

All are welcome to join us this evening - it's actually our last class of the summer term before we'll take a little break for the summer (back in September).

Next week I'll be away at the Taoist Cultural Arts Association Summer Course, training on a beautiful Cornish beach 😍☀️ ⛱️

Beginners are always welcome at our classes and courses - please ask if you'd like any more information on either ☯️

So I don't know if you've heard but it might actually be coming home ⚽ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🤞🤞🤞

To allow Kings Heath Community Centre to host the fan zone, we'll be training over in Sarehole Mill again.

And to give us all chance to watch the match ourselves (kick off 8pm), we'll bring forward the time of Wednesday's class so it'll be *6.00-7.30pm*

Normal service will resume the following week for our last class of the term before our summer break ☺️

After our outing to Sarehole Mill last week, this evening our tai chi class is back in its usual home of Kings Heath Community Centre, 6.30-8.00pm.

It's another scorching hot day today but we will take it easy 😎

See you there! ☯️

⚠️ Change of Venue ⚠️

Our class is usually at the community centre every Wednesday but this week the hall will be used to host a fan zone for England's upcoming World Cup football fixture.

Instead, since it's forecast to be a warm summer's evening, we will be training at Sarehole Mill in the big meadow behind the mill. There is parking there and the number 11 bus stops right outside.

It's unusual circumstances due to the football and we will be back in our usual venue next week, but I'm looking forward to holding a session outside and making the most of the light summer evening.

All are welcome - please ask if you have any questions 🙂

Football seems to be everywhere at the moment ⚽️

This Wednesday, 17th June sees England's first game in the World Cup and the community centre is hosting a fanzone.

So for *one week only* our tai chi class will be held at the All Saints Centre, just down the High Street (B14 7RA). Class will be at the usual time of 6.30-8.00pm (and we'll be back in the community centre the following week) 👍

Tai chi and football don't have to clash - in fact, as this graphic shows, even footballers could benefit from some training! Everyone is welcome to join us 😁☯️
