The Birmingham Bulldogs have made the difficult decision this morning to withdraw from the semi-final fixture against Sherwood Wolf Hunt.
A combination of personal player circumstances, injuries and RFL restrictions has left the team with only 12 available players.
This would mean that the game would not be able to be played whilst maintaining player safety, nor would it represent a fair clash to the Wolf Hunt, a team who we have a lot of respect for and have treated us very well at Debdale park on previous visits.
Whilst our season has certainly been an improvement on the 2025 season, it must also be seen as one of wasted potential and opportunity, but hopefully one that we can take the lessons from.
We would like to apologise to our players, our supporters and our sponsors for not fulfilling our commitments.
And finally, we apologise once more to Adam, Glen, and the rest of the staff and players at Sherwood Wolf Hunt, who we know were looking forward hosting us.
