😴 SLEEP ISN’T A LUXURY — IT’S PART OF YOUR RECOVERY.
We often focus on workouts, nutrition and recovery tools… but one of the most powerful recovery tools is completely free: sleep.
When you consistently don’t get enough sleep, the effects go far beyond simply feeling tired.
🦵 Higher risk of injury
Fatigue, slower reactions, reduced coordination and inadequate recovery can all contribute to greater injury risk — especially when training loads are high.
🧠 Slower reactions & poorer decision-making
Sleep deprivation can affect concentration, coordination and reaction time — not exactly what you want when you’re training, competing or trying to avoid injury.
💪 Reduced recovery & performance
Sleep is when your body gets important repair work done. Too little can negatively affect strength, endurance, skill ex*****on and your ability to recover between sessions.
🦠 Weaker immune function
Sleep plays a major role in regulating the immune system. Regularly cutting sleep short can make it harder for your body to defend itself and recover from illness.
🧬 Hormones & metabolism can suffer
Insufficient sleep can disrupt hormones involved in appetite, stress, glucose regulation and recovery — which can affect both health and body composition.
😤 Mood and mental wellbeing
Poor sleep can increase irritability and stress while making motivation, focus and emotional regulation harder.
