Tranmere Rovers FC are opening Merseyside's first dedicated Futsal venue in September 2015. The development of Futsal on Merseyside has not been helped previously by suitable venue availability. This will give many people of all ages the chance to see and play Futsal for the first time. In conjunction with Liverpool Futsal Club - Merseyside's only FA National Futsal League club. Tranmerre Rovers a
re bringing Futsal leagues for youth, adult, veteran and ladies to Merseyside in September 2015. TRFC are fully committed to Futsal for club and community use. The TRFC academy sides will incorporate Futsal into their training regime during the day. At evenings and weekends Futsal leagues and Tranmere's community activities will also make full use of the Futsal facilities. The Futsal Hub will have one pitch of FA National Futsal League dimensions. For league use, two pitches of around 30m x 15m will be used. These smaller pitches are just a metre short of FA National Futsal League dimensions. Finally in an innovative move, Futsal at TRFC will be officiated by professional, experienced and FA qualified Futsal referees.This will ensure high standards are maintained and players, coaches and spectators have access to high quality referees to help them become familiar with the game.
