Changing pace in fitness and life can mean so much more to your health and mental health π§
Finding Golf for me has not just been a positive physically and socially. It sorts my head out β

Being outside, thinking my way around a course has helped me to find balance in a very tough year. We all carry stress and we all face challenges daily, i'm not unique, but managing it has not always been my best asset.
Slowing down during a round of golf and solely focusing on the next shot seems to block out alot of the tribulations. Anyone who I have met who plays golf shares similar values. Having fun, moving and learning something new is wonderful in itself. Challenging myself daily has been so rewarding. π―
Walking more, striking balls and hacking my way round courses has been so much bloody fun I feel like I have missed out for years. β³οΈ
Managing emotions is crucial and I find not being connected to anything else while you play is the release I need. So maybe for someone, trying a new hobbie or sport may help you reap the same rewards π. Also, at 38 I have started feeling all the niggles my uncles warned me about 20 years ago π
Get out and move. And most of all enjoy the process of being a beginner, and respect those who have put in years of practice ahead of us novice golfers β€οΈπ
