Some of life’s bowlfuls are bitter to taste.

In the heart of deepest contrast, lies the essence of longing.

Desire calls us to more...
More hope, more faith, more love…
Once we know how to respond.

Appreciating, when the bowl is full of bitterness, that’s a topic for two blogs.

The first, fittingly, I send out today, as I continue to do the work I share with you, on Michael’s birthday. His second in translation…

His legacy, always and all-ways: love.
Love, love and more love still.

His reminder:
Stop.
Breathe.
Follow the joy…

I’ve followed the joy today in the ways I’ve described in my blog. Through bitterness and tears to ever more joy.

May you always remember that joy is who you are.
You are beautiful.
Beautiful.

“All matter is formed by love.
There is an organic love
That speaks to everyone
If they could but hear.
A leaf holds together
For love.” — Emmanuel’s book

What beautiful words!

The leaves
At my feet
Have me
Revelling today
In the

Infinite
Loving
Isness…

Delicious!

(With appreciation for the dear friend who brought these words my way!)

More thoughts on appreciating for this week’s blog and more again in the next!

The more we look at the possibilities for appreciating, the more the practice grows…

“…the more you look for positive aspects of your current life, the more positive aspects will step forward to reveal themselves to you.” Abraham- Hicks

As we focus deliberately on specific subjects - appreciating topics that already feel good, we make them into more…

The good from those topics spills over into others…

One delicious bowl of life’s goodies has the power to overflow into every other bowl in our lives.

With enough focused appreciation on what’s already working that one bowl multiplies its impact.

Add a decision to take focus from those other bowls that bother us and we can truly live happily ever after. (See a new interpretation of this phrase in the blog.)

Next week - we’ll look at what we can do with those less good-feeling bowls!

Enjoy ramping up the joy-factor Dear Ones! There is always more to enjoy!

Appreciating appreciation!
I can’t help but delve deeper into the delightful practice of appreciation in this weeks blog…

Using the word appreciate to mean ’grow’ as well as ‘enjoy’ and knowing how Law of Attraction match-funds our vibration has set off a real love-fest - for my clients and for me!

I love finding random delights to enjoy- and spending all the time I can, appreciating them into more.

Using a couple of simple Cleam questions turns one simple thought into many…What a delightful way to spend the day!

If you’d like to know more about an appreciation practice that’ll make your day more joyful, follow the link in the comments!

Evidently the slugs (?) are delighted with my dear friend’s gift of pansy pots…

So kindly intended to give me colour through the winter months…the mollusc-munched petals tell a different tale!

I do see a flamboyant Russian dancer here - fresh from the Nutcracker ballet…

Perhaps this slug’s a sculptor!

Nature outdoes us at every turn!

Want Something Better Than an Attitude of Gratitude?

I confess, I used to struggle with gratitude…

Throughout decades of stressed-out existence, it seemed to add insult to injury.

Then came the guilt and the shame… What kind of precious princess was I, to fail to be grateful for three things before bed?

Now, oh boy has life shifted!
Now that I know what got in my way.
Now I know how gratitude can be bested.

I’m addicted to the upgrade!

Discovering the magic porridge pot of life has been utterly transformative for me and for my clients. I can’t wait to share it with you in this week’s blog!

The joy of a great book’s enchantment! Another beautiful sculpture from my Walker visit at the weekend…

I do wish I looked like this when I read…my reality is more snuggled up in layers of thermal underwear topped off with soft fleece pyjamas!

I’m reading a glorious book by Anne Lamott at the moment. ‘Bird by Bird’ has me snorting with laughter each morning as Lamott shares her approach to life and writing…

What a gift, to bring laughter from a stranger by the turning of your pages!

What delight to lose ourselves completely in the thoughts of mind we love!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

A poignant sculpture from yesterday’s visit to the Walker.

Feel the love flowing through every sweeping lock of hair, every soft line - from lifeless lips and eyelids to sweet fingertips and more.

Commissioned by a grieving husband, such warmth and tenderness fills this remembering of the woman he adored.

Beautiful, so very, very beautiful…

This evening I relish the prospect of a visit to meet a friend at a local botanical gardens tomorrow.

How beautiful! Feasting with my friend, with Autumn in full flourish…

What fun, to head out towards a new destination, in the hands of my sat nav (how did we ever manage with maps?!)

How lovely to go at my own pace and purpose on roads unknown to me, to find a fresh place of fun!

Glory be!

Ooh I had such fun with this painting!
At one point I even used a carving knife to pull paint across the page!

I so ENJOY paint on wet paper!
I love it even more because I don’t know what I’m doing!

I approach a clean page in five-year old mode!

Ready for fun…
Delighted whatever happens…
Can’t get it wrong ‘cos I never get it done…

Joy, joy, JOY!

If you’d like more fun but can’t allow play, my blog this week is for you! (Link in comments)

Today I am…

Appreciating the soft glow of autumn light on wet leaves on the forest floor…

Appreciating rich colours in the watercolour palette and the play of brush and bristle on the page…

Appreciating beloved friends and the kindness of strangers…

And the pure joy of doing work that I adore…

As I appreciate these treasures in my life, they grow, they magnify - like an investment I grow in a high interest fund….

Appreciation has me dizzy with delight!
Glory be!

Laddering - one of the most powerful tools I’ve come across in all my years of coaching and therapeutic work.

Based on the exercise in Abraham-Hicks publication Ask and it is Given - it shows us the simple steps to moving ourselves up the emotional scale.

I’ve laid it out in detail in this week’s blog. My clients find it invaluable, as do I.

There’s nothing more joyous than seeing tears turn to smiles, as they do, inevitably, by the power of this straightforward technique.

The beauty of this approach is that it’s simple enough to teach to children. I’ve used it in school for years with children, parents and teachers.

Like all the best tools, it requires precision and practice in order to get it working to greatest effect.

Give it a try, pass it on to your friends - it’s a gem! If you want help getting started, book in!

Have fun!
