LJMU Men's Rugby Union This page will provide all information regarding fixtures, games and socials for LJMU Men's Rugby Union.

LJMU Men's Rugby Union is a committed and driven club, made up of players of all abilities. We are always looking for new members and there is absolutely no rugby experience needed. We currently have two BUCS league XV's, however we will be pushing for at least one development squad in the new season. FRESHERS TRIAL/TASTER

Hopefully will see a fair amount of you tomorrow. Will be a variety of games, drills and a bit of running. Play hard and have a laugh.

Game on Wednesday against man met, will be a good chance for a lot of you to pull on the jersey.

11am-4pm, would be surprised if it lasted the entirety of that though.

It’s at iron marsh campus.

Bring gumshields as there will be some contact.

To current and future members of the club we are excited to see you all. There are a few dates to keep in mind in order for us to get back to playing.

27th September: Training 8-10pm at jericho lane

29th September: Freshers fair 10am-5pm at M&S bank arena

2nd October: FRESHERS TRIAL, this will be for both this and last years freshers. It’s is important we see as many of you as possible.

6th October: To be finalised, warm up game vs Man Met at jericho lane

Spread the word and let anyone who might be interested in playing know.

ATTENTION RUGBY PLAYERS!
In such an unpredictable time we understand morales are at a low and everything seems all over the place. Societies are likely the last of your problems. Whilst face-to-face activity is suspended until at least November, we want you all to still feel a part of LJMU Men's Rugby Union. We would love to meet and hear from all new freshers before being able to link up in person.

Anyone who is interested in playing rugby, or has any questions regarding rugby union at LJMU please don't hesitate to message myself or any of the committee members listed below.

CHANGE OF PLAN PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

Due to unforeseen weather conditions we have moved our trial tomorrow to JERICHO LANE. This is better for us as it is a 4G pitch and is also where we train and play our matches, so it will help you get used to it. With this change it means we will be getting the train from Liverpool CENTRAL not Lime Street. The train that we want you to get is 12:28, please don’t get there any later as we won’t have any of the lads at the station helping you get there. Arrive earlier so that you can get your ticket etc..

Start time and finish time is still the same as before (1-3) but we will be doing the trial at JERICHO LANE

Alright lads just a quick one about the trial tomorrow, please be on time for the trial (1PM) to ensure we get the full 2 hours to do stuff. Check our last post for timings etc.. if your stuck with anything don’t hesitate to contact us through any of our social media. Also we will be having a few cans after the trial to get to know people and have a laugh so try bring along loose change as we will be selling £1 cans!

‪Trial on Wednesday Birkenhead park at 1pm! Get there by the underground at Liverpool Lime Street, get the 12:33 train that gets you in at 12:44, as it is about a 10 minute walk from the station to the club. Rob will be there showing you where to go! See you Wednesday!‬
