Our next Lady Mystic athlete of the month for August is the amazing Ella 🤩🥳 She has worked so hard on her tumbling and flying skills, watching her now you wouldn't believe she only joined earlier this year as a beginner and now has beautiful speciality L2 tumbling and flying skills. Well done Ella we are all so proud of you 😘🥰🤩🥳

The athletes aren’t the only ones putting in the work for the new season! Today was all about our coaching team — learning, developing, sharing ideas and making sure we continue to give our athletes the very best coaching we can.

We spent the day working on technique, progressions, drills, spotting, safety and coaching practice — because great teams start with coaches who are willing to keep learning too.

We’re always looking at how we can improve, how we can coach skills more effectively and, most importantly, how we can create the safest and best possible environment for every athlete in our programme. ❤️💙

A HUGE thank you to Paul from Paul Baskerville for such an inspiring and valuable training day! 🤩 We’ve taken so much away from the day, and there are definitely lots of new ideas that we can’t wait to put into practice in the gym!

A new season means new goals, new challenges and a LOT of exciting things ahead… and our coaching team is READY! 🔥🚀

ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

The rest of the programme may be having fun and games in their summer training, but Lady Mystic kicked off their new season at the start of July. The effort and work ethic this team is showing is nothing short of amazing, we can't wait for all this hard work to pay off at ASW.

Our Lady Mystic athlete of the month is the amazing SASKIA! Not only is she giving training 💯 but the mindset she has got herself into for her training is wonderful, she's SO focussed and SO determined, nothing is going to stop her from achieving everything she sets her mind to. Congratulations Saskia, we love you 😘🎉

🏆✨ A little flashback to our 2026 Showcase... ✨🏆

The Showcase performances were incredible... but the Awards Ceremony was our chance to celebrate an unforgettable season and the amazing athletes who made it so special. ❤️💙

From programme and team awards, to our individual certificates recognising each athlete's unique qualities, every presentation was a chance to celebrate the hard work, resilience, growth and dedication shown throughout the year. 🤩

Watching our athletes walk up to collect their certificates, stand proudly with their banners and celebrate alongside their teammates is what makes this day so magical. Looking back through these moments reminds us just how special our Showcase was. The smiles, the cheers, the hugs and the proud faces... this is what Birkenhead Comets is all about. 🚀

These aren't just photos of awards being handed out—they're memories of confidence growing, friendships shining and achievements that will be remembered for years to come. ✨

Looking at this graphic really makes us realise what a special year we've had, with a truly special group of athletes.

These numbers tell part of the story, but they don't show the countless hours of training, the determination after setbacks, the friendships that have grown, or the commitment shown by every single athlete, coach and family throughout the season.

To finish the season with

🥈 5 second places,
🥉 6 third places,
🏆 3 Grand Champion titles,
🌎 2 ASW Bids,
💎 our first ever PAID Bid to the All Star World Championship,
💥 17 Hit Zero routines,
and a programme-high score of 📈 97.98

is something we could only have dreamed of a few years ago. 🤯✨

But perhaps the achievement we're proudest of is this... 👇

It's not often we get everyone together in one place, and seeing all of our athletes and coaches standing side by side is pretty special.

From our youngest beginners to our oldest athletes, every single person in this photo is part of the Comets story.

Different ages. Different abilities. Different goals. One club.

Looking at this photo reminds us just how lucky we are to have such an incredible group of athletes, dedicated coaches and supportive families. Every smile represents hard work, friendships, confidence grown and memories made.
