Birkenhead Comets Cheer The Wirral's premier competitive cheerleading squad, ages 5-20+. We train at Byrne Ave Baths BEGINNER REC - Tuesdays 4:30-6:00 ยฃ30 per month

Birkenhead Comets is the Wirral's leading competitive cheerleading squad. We have had great successes competing locally, nationally as well as internationally in America. As well as building our competition squads, we also have a development recreational class, this is for athletes who would like to try out cheer in a more laid back way and to gain skills to enable them to place on one of the competition squads.

Our new backdrop is finally up and we're absolutely made up with how it looks. A huge thank you to United Cheer Apparel for designing and producing it for us.

It seemed only right to take a photo with some of the silverware and banners from this weekend's Revolution competition too...

Looking at this photo, it's hard to believe how far this club has come. Every trophy, banner and bid represents hours of training, determination, setbacks, comebacks, and athletes and coaches who refused to give up.

The backdrop looks great, but it's the athletes standing in front of it that make us proud.

Our athletes took to the floor at Revolution All Out and delivered performance after performance that made us incredibly proud.

From our youngest athletes taking to the floor with confidence, to our older athletes showcasing their hard work and determination, every single Comet played their part in an amazing weekend of cheerleading.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Lady Mystic have been awarded a PAID BID to the All Star World Championships 2027! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿคโค๏ธ

This is not only an incredible achievement for the athletes and coaches of Lady Mystic, but it is also a moment that will go down in Birkenhead Comets history as the first ever PAID BID awarded to a Comets team.

This team has shown unwavering dedication, resilience, commitment and belief. They have worked tirelessly through every training session, every challenge, every competition and every setback, always striving to be better than they were the day before. Today, that hard work has been recognised with one of the biggest awards in our sport.

To receive a Paid Bid is a huge honour and a testament to the athletes, coaches, families and supporters who have all played a part in this journey. We could not be prouder of what this team has achieved. Thank you Revolution for this honour, we will do you proud next year in Orlando.

An amazing start to our final competition of the season, with our wonderful Diva Queens kicking us off with a 2nd place win in a division of 8. Followed by the undefeated Astro Pops who not only came 1st but also won the choreography award for the whole of session 1 ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿคโค๏ธ

Diva Queens were up first and delivered a brilliant performance, earning an amazing 3rd place in their division ๐Ÿฅ‰

Galaxy Girls followed shortly after and put out a fantastic routine to secure a wonderful 2nd place finish ๐Ÿฅˆ

Both divisions were large, highly competitive, and packed with talented teams, making these results something to be incredibly proud of. The hard work, dedication, and commitment these athletes show week after week continues to shine through on the competition floor.

We couldn't be prouder of every athlete who stepped out there and gave it their all. โญ
