Back to back tons for Danny Mac, this week a blistering 127🔥, putting Ifield to the sword in a high scoring affair.

Unfortunately Danny Mac’s heroics were not enough, with the Birds falling short of the target.😢

Despite a sensational Danny Mac ton, the Birds unfortunately succumbed to a strong Witterings team.

The Birds team, including 4 1st team debutants managed to stay in the game but unfortunately didn’t have enough to get over the finish line.

We look ahead to Ifield next week, where the team will be looking to get the 30 points.

60 Points ✅

A fantastic, high scoring weekend for the Birds highlighted by a T Simms Ton. 🔥💯

The 1s put the sword to Roffey with a Danny Mac special, supported by O.Fuller and a quick fire cameo from Jake, putting 270 on the board after being put in to bat . A great toss to lose.😍

This was then followed up by excellent economical spells from the Fullers opening the bowling, which set the platform for Luke Watson to blow away the middle order, following in the footsteps of his brother the week before. Despite a quality hundred from a Roffey batsmen getting them close to the target the Birds managed to get over the line 🐦🏆

The Chicks meanwhile stormed to another win. Tobie Simmonds firing his way to 100, an innings of pure brutality setting up a great position for the team, supported by 44 from Ambler and a quick fire 35 from the 2’s Goat Henry Wilson.

This was then supported by a quality spell from Max fellows, claiming 4fer and smashing through the Arundel batting order, ultimately winning the game for the 2s🏆🐦

Another 60 point weekend, what a time to be a bird. 🐦

We have released more tickets for our outdoor high energy 60's & 70s rock gig with The Angels here at Birdham Cricket Club tonight!

Gates open at 6.30pm, music starts at 7pm, gates close at 10.30pm.
We will be streaming England v France in the FIFA World Cup Bronze Final on a BIG screen in the clubhouse. Our clubhouse has step-free access.
