We now have a growing contingent of Zwifters in the club - anybody want to test your fitness against other East Midlands riders?

See below for more details.

East Mids vs West Mids Zwift Competition. We are hosting 3 Zwift Races on Thursday 21st December 2023, Thursday 28th December 2023 & Thursday 11th January 2024 all starting at 7pm to see which region really is the Midlands Champion. There will be an opportunity for racers of all categories to take part, in which riders will accrue points for their region, the region with the most points after three races wins. Anybody who rides in all 3 races will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 3 prizes. The links for sign up will go live at midday the day before the race, so keep an eye out! Any questions, just drop them below.

Well done to the VBCC guys who represented the club at Melton Olympic Cycling Club Summer Crit at Leicester Cycle Circuit. A special mention to Olivia Howcroft who did a great ride in her first race and Craig Avery who needed 8th place to move up to 3rd cat. We will have to wait for the official results from British Cycling so fingers crossed!!!!!

Three years ago Rupert lost his Dad. Losing a parent changed his life forever and he is now asking for help to support other bereaved children like him and their families.

On the 6th July Rupert will set off on a 200 mile cycle from London to Paris to raise funds for the Children's Bereavement Centre in Newark, Nottinghamshire. At 7 years old he will unofficially be the youngest person to do this and will take 4 days to do the 200 miles to Paris.

Rupert has benefited directly from the work of the Bereavement Centre who provided, and still provide, Rupert and other bereaved children and their families with much needed therapy and support in the aftermath of losing a loved one.

We think that what Rupert is doing is pretty phenomenal. If you are able to spare any money to support Rupert and this vital charity it would be really appreciated. Please also share Rupert's story as far and wide as possible.
