Pre Season friendly🟡⚫️

After a short break, Norton were back in action against an equally matched Darlington 21st All Stars team.

Both teams worked hard throughout, showing great control, skill and determination. It was a brilliant, competitive game with some fantastic goals and plenty of teamwork on display.👏⚽️

What an incredible Presentation Night! 🎉⚽

Yesterday was all about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and commitment of every single one of our players. Week in and week out, they turn up, give their all, and continue to make us proud. Well done, boys – you should all be proud of yourselves!

A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic coaches for all the time and effort they put in, and to all of our parents for their continued support throughout the season. We couldn’t do it without you.

Alongside the presentations, we held a raffle and tombola and tuck shop to help raise funds for the team. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised over £300 towards funding a training venue for the boys throughout the winter.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to every single person who came along, bought raffle tickets, had a go on the tombola, and supported the team. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated, and every penny will make a real difference.

Here’s to another great season and many more memories to come! 💛🖤⚽🏆

The boys had a brilliant day at their first tournament of the year at Darlington 21st All Stars! ⚽️

They played really well throughout the day, and we are so proud of every one of them. Their hard work, teamwork, and effort were fantastic to see.

We can’t wait to see them back on the pitch for more tournaments and friendlies. Well done, boys! 👏💛🖤

Under 8s Match Report – Final Game of the Season⚽️

Plenty of action in today’s final game of the season, and the only advice the boys needed before the first whistle was simple — keep playing the way they have over the last few games. The improvement from every single player has been incredible.

From the first half, it was clear Norton were in for a battle. Middleton opened the scoring, but instead of letting their heads drop, it only gave Norton more fight. Michael found the back of the net first for us, and both teams added two more goals before the break. Archie got on the scoresheet with an impressive goal, while Heath produced an amazing long-range effort that curled beautifully into the goal. It was 3-3 at half-time after an exciting opening half.

The second half started strongly from both sides, pressing hard and battling for every ball. The defending from both teams was second to none, with Sam and Harry absolute rocks at the back.

Norton’s fourth goal came through pressure, with Cole getting a shot away that was saved by the keeper before rebounding off a Middleton player and into the net for an own goal, giving us a 4-3 lead.

Oscar then made some crucial saves to keep us firmly in the game, showing bravery and determination throughout. In the final five minutes, Middleton grabbed another well-taken goal to level things up, and the game finished in a deserved draw.

A brilliant way for the boys to end the season — smiles all round and plenty to be proud of.

🌞 Match Report 🌞

The sun was shining this morning as we headed down the road to Billingham — and what a performance it turned out to be!

Norton got off to a flying start with Michael finding the net early to give us the lead. From the first whistle, the team showed incredible determination, with a rock-solid defence that gave the opposition little to no chance of getting a shot away. Every time possession was lost, Norton worked tirelessly to win it straight back.

There were plenty of chances to extend the lead, but credit to the Billingham keeper who kept them in the game with some great saves.

Before the half-time whistle, Cole added two more goals to put Norton firmly in control at 3-0.

The second half was just as exciting. Norton came out strong again, continuing to press and create chances. In previous matches, the second half has proven challenging, but not today — the energy and focus never dropped. Despite more attacking opportunities, we couldn’t quite add to the scoreline.

Billingham managed to pull one back late on, but it wasn’t enough, with the game finishing 3-1 to Norton. A fantastic match and great football played by both teams!

Archie gives his all every single week, and today was no different. His effort, sportsmanship, and determination were outstanding. From winning the ball back to making crucial tackles and providing an assist — he truly shone on the pitch.

With no league fixture this week, we took on a strong side in a friendly on Sunday.

The first half was a really even contest, with both teams battling hard and showing great determination. We played some excellent football at times, moving the ball well and creating chances. Cole took his goals brilliantly, showing great composure in front of goal to put us ahead, and we went into the break with the score level at 2–2.

In the second half, the boys continued to battle and showed great character throughout. Even when our opponents managed to add a few more goals and we couldn’t quite find the back of the net ourselves, the effort and attitude never dropped. The team kept working for each other right until the final whistle, which is exactly what we want to see.

🟡⚫️ MATCH REPORT ⚫️🟡

Today we welcomed a strong Northallerton side and our boys started on fire 🔥

From the first whistle, the work rate, energy, and teamwork were brilliant. Pressing high and battling for every ball paid off early as we grabbed a well-deserved opener ⚽️

At the other end, Oscar was in top form 🧤 pulling off some fantastic saves and keeping us firmly in control. The boys kept pushing and were rewarded again with another well-taken goal to make it 2–0 at half-time 💪

Second half was a different story with the wind against us 🌬️ The conditions made it tough and a lapse in focus allowed the opposition back into the game. Credit to Northallerton, who took their chances well.

But massive credit to our boys 👏 heads never dropped, they kept battling, showed great character, and pushed right until the final whistle in really difficult weather conditions.

Plenty of positives to take and lots to build on as we move forward 💭⚽️
