The boys had a brilliant day at their first tournament of the year at Darlington 21st All Stars! ⚽️

They played really well throughout the day, and we are so proud of every one of them. Their hard work, teamwork, and effort were fantastic to see.

We can’t wait to see them back on the pitch for more tournaments and friendlies. Well done, boys! 👏💛🖤

Under 8s Match Report – Final Game of the Season⚽️

Plenty of action in today’s final game of the season, and the only advice the boys needed before the first whistle was simple — keep playing the way they have over the last few games. The improvement from every single player has been incredible.

From the first half, it was clear Norton were in for a battle. Middleton opened the scoring, but instead of letting their heads drop, it only gave Norton more fight. Michael found the back of the net first for us, and both teams added two more goals before the break. Archie got on the scoresheet with an impressive goal, while Heath produced an amazing long-range effort that curled beautifully into the goal. It was 3-3 at half-time after an exciting opening half.

The second half started strongly from both sides, pressing hard and battling for every ball. The defending from both teams was second to none, with Sam and Harry absolute rocks at the back.

Norton’s fourth goal came through pressure, with Cole getting a shot away that was saved by the keeper before rebounding off a Middleton player and into the net for an own goal, giving us a 4-3 lead.

Oscar then made some crucial saves to keep us firmly in the game, showing bravery and determination throughout. In the final five minutes, Middleton grabbed another well-taken goal to level things up, and the game finished in a deserved draw.

A brilliant way for the boys to end the season — smiles all round and plenty to be proud of.

🌞 Match Report 🌞

The sun was shining this morning as we headed down the road to Billingham — and what a performance it turned out to be!

Norton got off to a flying start with Michael finding the net early to give us the lead. From the first whistle, the team showed incredible determination, with a rock-solid defence that gave the opposition little to no chance of getting a shot away. Every time possession was lost, Norton worked tirelessly to win it straight back.

There were plenty of chances to extend the lead, but credit to the Billingham keeper who kept them in the game with some great saves.

Before the half-time whistle, Cole added two more goals to put Norton firmly in control at 3-0.

The second half was just as exciting. Norton came out strong again, continuing to press and create chances. In previous matches, the second half has proven challenging, but not today — the energy and focus never dropped. Despite more attacking opportunities, we couldn’t quite add to the scoreline.

Billingham managed to pull one back late on, but it wasn’t enough, with the game finishing 3-1 to Norton. A fantastic match and great football played by both teams!

Archie gives his all every single week, and today was no different. His effort, sportsmanship, and determination were outstanding. From winning the ball back to making crucial tackles and providing an assist — he truly shone on the pitch.

With no league fixture this week, we took on a strong side in a friendly on Sunday.

The first half was a really even contest, with both teams battling hard and showing great determination. We played some excellent football at times, moving the ball well and creating chances. Cole took his goals brilliantly, showing great composure in front of goal to put us ahead, and we went into the break with the score level at 2–2.

In the second half, the boys continued to battle and showed great character throughout. Even when our opponents managed to add a few more goals and we couldn’t quite find the back of the net ourselves, the effort and attitude never dropped. The team kept working for each other right until the final whistle, which is exactly what we want to see.

🟡⚫️ MATCH REPORT ⚫️🟡

Today we welcomed a strong Northallerton side and our boys started on fire 🔥

From the first whistle, the work rate, energy, and teamwork were brilliant. Pressing high and battling for every ball paid off early as we grabbed a well-deserved opener ⚽️

At the other end, Oscar was in top form 🧤 pulling off some fantastic saves and keeping us firmly in control. The boys kept pushing and were rewarded again with another well-taken goal to make it 2–0 at half-time 💪

Second half was a different story with the wind against us 🌬️ The conditions made it tough and a lapse in focus allowed the opposition back into the game. Credit to Northallerton, who took their chances well.

But massive credit to our boys 👏 heads never dropped, they kept battling, showed great character, and pushed right until the final whistle in really difficult weather conditions.

Plenty of positives to take and lots to build on as we move forward 💭⚽️

Under 8's match report⚽️

The team travelled to Darlington on a cold, windy morning, although the sun was shining through. The boys began their warm-ups as usual before the first whistle blew.

In the first half it was clear to see the boys were once again on top form. We conceded an early goal, but that didn’t let Norton’s heads drop and Archie quickly pulled one back for us. Darlington then managed to score again, but the boys battled tirelessly, creating a few chances and pushing hard to find the net. Just before half-time Darlington added another goal, and the whistle blew with the score at 3–1.

In the second half the message was simple: keep doing what they had been doing. Michael closed the gap with a great goal and lifted the team again. The boys were in top form — the defending was excellent and the passes they were making to each other are improving week by week.

After some amazing passing, Cole found the back of the net for Norton’s third goal, closing the gap even further. The boys continued battling, giving it their absolute best. With not long left before the final whistle, Heath unleashed a brilliant strike that found the net, giving Norton the lead.

With only seconds remaining, Darlington were awarded a free kick just outside the box. With the last kick of the game they managed to score, and the final whistle blew with the match ending in a 4–4 draw.

The boys’ hard work is really starting to show on the pitch. We have a week’s break next week, but we can’t wait to see them back out there again.

Every week Michael works incredibly hard. His footwork is outstanding and he never gives up chasing the ball. He shows great determination, supports his teammates all over the pitch, and always gives 100% from the first whistle to the last. Match Report-

Firstly, we just want to say how proud we are as coaches and parents of how the boys took their training onto the pitch today. After last week’s defeat, the boys worked their socks off and rewarded themselves with a fantastic win!

From the passing, defending, striking and goalkeeping, everyone played their part. Nortons coach said that if we had seven trophies, every single one of the boys would deserve one.

From the very beginning the boys showed exactly what they are capable of. They worked hard, kept up the pace and supported each other all over the pitch. Norton’s positioning was excellent, linking up with teammates through great passing and finishing his chances brilliantly.

At half-time things were still very tight with only one goal in it, but the boys came out even stronger in the second half. Their determination and teamwork paid off as they pushed on and scored another five goals before the final whistle.

Player shout-outs today for all the boys because they all need recognition⚽️🏆

Michael showed incredible determination throughout the game, constantly battling to win the ball back for the team. His work rate never dropped and he was rewarded with some great finishes - well done Michael 👏🏼⚽️⚽️⚽️

Cole was full of energy and drive, pushing forward with confidence, putting in strong tackles and helping create chances for the team. His determination to win the ball and move the play forward really helped keep the pressure on the opposition- Well done Cole👏🏼⚽️⚽️

Harry did a fantastic job finding space and making himself available for passes. His awareness and movement off the ball gave the team even more opportunities to build attacks and keep the momentum going-Well done Harry👏🏼⚽️

Heath showed brilliant effort , working hard to win the ball and never giving up. His determination paid off with an outstanding strike after fighting hard to regain possession – a great moment for him and the team-Well done Heath👏🏼⚽️

Archie worked tirelessly from start to finish, chasing down the ball, winning possession and showing fantastic composure in front of goal. His outstanding finishes were a real highlight and showed great confidence- Well done Archie👏🏼⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Oscar, our goalkeeper, did a brilliant job keeping the scoreline down with some important saves. Not only that, but his quick thinking and distribution helped create chances for our strikers by getting the ball back into play quickly and accurately- well done Oscar👏🏼

And finally, Man of the Match goes to Sam, our rock at the back. Week after week Sam shows how vital he is to the team. His defending today was outstanding — making strong tackles, reading the game brilliantly and stepping in to stop dangerous attacks before they could develop. His bravery, positioning and determination helped keep the team solid at the back. Well done Sam, you superstar!🏆
