Billingham Karate Club is part of the E.K.W association of clubs across the North of England. This club has been running for over 40 years and is currently headed up by Renshi Dave Swalwell 6th Dan Black belt. Wado - Ryu Karate is a Japanese Martial Art based upon a unique blend of Japanese Jujitsu, elements of Okinawan Karate and principals of older schools of swordsmanship or Kenjutsu. The train

ing is welcome to all abilities from novices to dan grades. At Billingham Karate club no one is left isolated in the training as everyone is catered for in the sessions. Along with the weekly training sessions, the association also holds winter and summer courses were all of the association clubs meet up and train together in a friendly but competitive manor.
