BILLINGHAM TOWN 9–0 FC HARTLEPOOL UNITED

A statement win to open the 2026/27 season! What a performance from the lads against a very good FC Hartlepool United side. From the first whistle to the last, the intensity, teamwork and desire were there for all to see.

A tremendous performance from Zavier, who was incredibly effective when he came on. He brought energy, intensity and purpose to the attack, making a real impact in the final third and causing problems for the Hartlepool defence.

A well-deserved Man of the Match award and capped off with 3 goals!

But as good as today was, this is only the beginning. There’s plenty for us to build on, plenty to learn from and plenty more hard work ahead as we prepare for the next one.

🔵⚪️ MATCHDAY — THE 2026/27 SEASON STARTS HERE! ⚪️🔵

Pre-season is now done. The hard work has been put in, the preparation is complete and the squad is ready.

We kick off our 2026/27 campaign at home at Bedford Terrace, with FC Hartlepool United the visitors for our season opener.

After both clubs came up together last season, this promises to be a brilliant test for both sides as we begin life in a new campaign. There’s plenty to look forward to, and we’re sure it’ll be a competitive game from the first whistle.

Whatever happens today, one thing is certain the boys give everything for each other!

Pre season over!

It’s probably been our most active pre-season to date, and as coaches we’re absolutely over the moon with the squad and, most importantly, the effort, attitude and commitment every single player has put in throughout the summer.

Pre-season stats:

* 2 tournaments – 1 final & 1 win
* 7 friendlies
* A couple of fantastic wins against teams playing at a higher level than us
* A tremendous display against a fantastic Stockton Town side, showing just how much this group has developed and how well they can compete against quality opposition.

A massive thank you to all the coaches, players and teams who have helped make our pre-season such a brilliant one. We really appreciate everyone who welcomed us, provided great opposition and helped give the lads the challenges they needed to prepare for the season ahead.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to the club and especially Kate Barwick for all the hard work behind the scenes, helping organise pitches, referees and everything else that goes into making pre-season happen. It’s hugely appreciated and doesn’t go unnoticed.

And of course, a massive thank you to all the parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunties and uncles who have given up their time over the summer to get the lads to games, stand on the sidelines and support them.

Now it’s time to turn our attention to the season opener next week. The hard work starts all over again, and we’re incredibly excited to see what this group can achieve together!

Finally, we want to wish all the grassroots teams at Billingham Town the very best of luck for the upcoming season. Have a fantastic season, enjoy your football and make plenty of memories!

Today, both teams came together to observe a minute’s silence in memory of Matty Blades of Seaton Carew U7, who tragically lost his life while on duty serving as a police officer.

Matty was part of the grassroots football family, and his passing has deeply saddened everyone across our local football community. At times like this, football becomes about much more than what happens on the pitch it’s about people, families, friendships and communities standing together.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Matty’s family, friends, colleagues and everyone at Seaton Carew U7 as they face this terrible loss. We hope they can take some comfort from knowing that the wider grassroots football community is thinking of them and standing beside them.

Brilliant tournament today from the boys!

Winning the Barry Thomas Memorial Trophy hosted by South Park Rangers.

Won the group and went on to beat Synners in final.

Congratulations to all the boys only conceding 1 goal all tournament as well!
