On Sunday here at Synthonia we played for the Norman Harrison Cup and what a glorious day it was. Massive well done to Sharon Butler who was the winner of the cup and Andrew Fowler the runner up. The consolation plate was won by Phil Scott and Tom Butler runner up. Congratulations to both winners and thank you to everyone who took part, also thanks to Ian for organising the day.

Yesterday here at Synthonia Bowling Club we played for the Memorial Shield. It was a lovely day of playing Australian Pairs and remembering past players who are no longer with us. Congratulations to husband and wife team John & Sarah Hart who were the winners on the day and well done to Dennis Micklefield and Margaret Cresswell who were runners up, after a closely fought final. Again thanks to Ian for organising, all members who took part in the competition and to Margaret Adams for the delicious BBQ.

Ever fancied taking up a new hobby? Why not try lawn bowling. It’s great for gentle exercise and meeting new people. Come along to our free coaching sessions on a Saturday morning at 10am, starting 18th April and continuing through the bowling season. You will find our green just behind the Synthonia Club on Belasis Ave, Billingham. Everyone welcome.

What a fantastic presentation night we had last night here at Synthonia Bowling Club. We had the best turn out yet and it was lovely to see everyone and celebrate this season’s achievements, not only within the club and the league but also our county players. What a fantastic season we have all had. Well done to everyone who won trophies, and to all our members who make Synthonia the most welcoming and friendliest bowling club. Here’s to another successful season next year and we will see you all at the Christmas party on the 5th December 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄

Wow! What an amazing weekend here at Synthonia Bowling Club. First we had our finals day yesterday, with James Hart, Jeff Ravenhall, John Hart and Carol Walker all winning their competitions. Then today was ‘Presidents Day’ and we all enjoyed a great game of Australian Pairs. Well done to John Hart and Sharon Butler for winning the competition and to Dave Clarke and Andrew Fowler who were our runners up. Congratulations to Phil Lightfoot and Sarah Hart for winning closest wood to the Jack. Thanks to our president John Hart for organising such a fabulous day, Sarah Hart for the food and Ian for his help organising the competition. Here’s to another great season next year.
