A big thank you to West Linton Tennis Club for hosting a thoroughly enjoyable Tweedale Tournament over the weekend. Superbly well organised, excellent food, and excellent tennis. Sadly, no silverware for Broughton this year, but there’s always hope!

Congratulations to West Linton's Adam Clunie who followed up his recent win at the Edinburgh Open with another 18U title at the Tayside Open.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!
Why not enjoy the lovely weather by dropping in on Broughton Tennis Club Open Day tomorrow between 11.00 and 2.00.
Tennis is a great way to enjoy the summer, meet new people and get some extra exercise - for all the family.
Find out what we have to offer and enjoy the beautiful view over a cup of tea, and maybe have a hit on court (bring suitable shoes and a racket if you have one).

Why not drop in and enjoy our beautiful location, find out what the club has to offer, hit a ball or two, or chat with the members. There will be snacks and free junior coaching from our Tennis Scotland coach so bring the family. Everyone welcome.

A big thanks to Mike Turner and everyone involved at Peebles Tennis Club for hosting the Tweedale Tournament yesterday, and making it a memorable day. Superb artificial clay courts, glorious weather, fantastic food and, not least, excellent tennis. Good to see some Broughton players involved. Finals day is today, so good luck to those involved.

Coaching 2022-2023

We have an LTA qualified coach, Neil Clunie, who will be taking a 6 week block of coaching for juniors, and possibly seniors if there is enough demand, beginning the weekend of 23 April .

The junior session is likely to be at 10.30 on Saturdays, but if there is enough interest we will run a session at the same time on the Sunday. As before there may be the odd session that Neil has to postpone due to tournament commitments.

Sessions will be £30 for the block. We hope to set up payment through our website shortly.

Our aim is to run a minimum of two sets of lessons each year, normally there is a block in early Summer and the the other block is normally run late Summer/ early Autumn. Other blocks may be run if the demand is there.

Players do not need to be members of the club to take part, but we hope that through the enjoyment of the sport they do become members.

Why not come along with family and friends and find out what the club has to offer.
There will be fun coaching for the children, refreshments, and don’t forget your tennis shoes if you fancy a quick game.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, a seasoned player, or blowing cobwebs off a racket from under the stair, you be warmly welcomed.
We’ll also be officially opening our second all-weather floodlit court.
Membership is open for anyone in Broughton, Tweedsmuir, Drumelzier, Stobo, Skirling and the Biggar area.
