A fantastic canoeing experience. For individuals and small private groups. The Bude Canoe Experience has become The Bideford Canoe Experience!

The Bideford Canoe Experience is great fun, paddling open canoes on the gorgeous River Torridge, Bideford, North Devon. No experience or special clothing required. All equipment provided along with your fully qualified guide. You will learn the basics of canoe paddling and head off on a canoe journey to explore, see wildlife, and practice a variety of canoeing skills. The Torridge has a terrific a

mount of wildlife and interesting history. You will see the countryside from a new and exciting perspective. Common sights include jumping fish, Heron, Kingfisher, Curlew, Cormorant, Sandpipers, Ducks, Geese, Dragon fly, and if you are really lucky maybe Tarka The Otter himself!

The Bude Canoe Experience is now the Bideford Canoe Experience!
Paddling on the River Torridge is totally different to the canal. Moving water, wild banks with very few people lots of wildlife and great scenery.
At the moment I’m only running 3 trips this year, one in May, July and August.

I have had a few lovely msgs about how the Bude Canoe Experience will be missed. Thank you for these. I will miss being on the canal! Unfortunately the logistics of working at the canal were just too difficult with the amount of time I now have available. It was a very difficult decision to make. However the cogs are turning and I am hoping that I will be able to offer monthly canoe experiences at another location. Watch this space.
