Last week, our team at Skern Adventure Appledore were sharpening their skills with lots of training sessions, continuing to build their confidence, knowledge and expertise...

🔥 Luke led a fantastic Camp Craft session, covering bushcraft skills such as fire lighting, campfire cooking and whittling, helping our instructors create engaging outdoor learning experiences.

🧗 Archie delivered High Ropes Access training, giving the team the opportunity to build confidence with equipment, practise access techniques and work through a range of real-life scenarios.

🚴 Russ took the team out for Tarka Bikes training, focusing on bike checks, maintenance, group management and coaching techniques to help deliver safe and enjoyable cycling sessions along the Tarka Trail.

A big thank you to them all for sharing their knowledge and experience with the team! 👏

Looking for flexible childcare for 8-16-year-olds with plenty of adventure this summer? Our holiday club day bookings let you choose the days that suit you, with every day packed full of exciting outdoor activities. Swipe through to see the timetable for each week of the summer holidays.

How it works:
🌟 Each day offers two activity options in the morning (AM) and two activity options in the afternoon (PM), so there's plenty of choice.
🌟 On selected days, children can also take part in The Big Six – our exciting multi-activity day featuring:
✅ Assault Course
✅ Orienteering
✅ Zip Line
✅ Crate stacking
✅ Archery
✅ High Ropes

Free summer adventures for children eligible for free school meals.

This summer, Skern Adventure is proud to be delivering the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme at both our Appledore and Abbotsham centres. Funded through the Devon HAF programme, eligible children can enjoy free outdoor activity days, take part in exciting instructor-led adventures, receive a nutritious hot meal, and spend time making new friends in a safe, supportive environment.
