Hi all,
We are opening up in a limited from from tomorrow 29th March. Due to Covid limitations we will only be taking adult pupils and children from secondary school age upwards, but sorry no beginners or new riders for the time being. We have no pony care fun days running for the time being. We will post here when this changes. Please call the office 01869 320665 and speak to Sue who is organizing clients back into their slots. Many thanks for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing our pupils back here over the next few weeks!

1st June Lessons Statement re Coronavirus

Thank you all for your understanding and patience.

We are resuming a gradual phased return to public riding lessons.

We will be adhering to all rules regarding social distancing, and our main concern is to keep all staff and clients as safe as possible.

Please do not come if you have any symptoms, there will be no cancellation fees for suspected illness!

We will start with the teaching of our more experienced riders over the age of 14 years. (Riders need a high level of independence in order for us to be able to keep everyone safe and comply with regulations.) Please bear with us if we cannot accommodate all of this category immediately.

There can be no lunge, lead rein or novice lessons and no Pony Care Fun Days till further notice.

We will phase in the return to teaching and we will phone clients to offer spaced slots.

All visitors please use the hand sanitising gel on arrival. Only one client in reception/shop at any one time please. Only one spectator from the same household for each lesson please. Please arrive no more than ten minutes before your lesson and leave promptly afterwards.

All riders must use their own hats and whips. We can offer a hat fit service in the shop if necessary, from a distance and using gloves and masks, but there can be no lending or sharing. Please come with freshly washed riding gloves that you will only use for your lessons.

We will be disinfecting reins, neckstraps etc between lessons.

Please bring your payment in an envelope with your name and the date on the outside, there will be a box provided to put these in. Please avoid using our toilet facilities as far as possible. When we open on a larger scale extra toilets will be provided.

We have started to phone clients who we can teach and will be continuing this week.

Coronavirus Update.
In light of the latest government advice we are cancelling all public riding lessons as of today until further notice.
Thank you for all your messages of support, and we look forward to seeing you all when this difficult time has passed.
We will contact all lessons first thing tomorrow morning but if you have a lesson and you have seen this then please let us know to assist with our admin.

WE ARE OPEN

Riding lessons policy during Coronavirus restrictions 18th March 2020.

We are remaining open for the time being, unless or until we receive new advice or instructions. Lessons will continue with new measures in place.
As our lessons are all outside in the fresh air and on a one to one basis this reduces risks.
There are the usual hand wash facilities in place and hand sterilizer on the front desk. The reins, stirrups, neckstraps and hats will be disinfected between lessons. We ask for where possible to limit any viewing (eg only one parent or carer per child to watch).
We completely understand if clients do not want to come to ride and there will no cancellation charges applied, but please let us know if you don’t wish to ride so we can plan the horses’ and ponies’ days accordingly.
Our Easter Pony Care Fun Days are under review and we will keep everyone informed closer to the time.
Obviously please don’t come to us if you have any symptoms, but the good news is horses don’t get or carry coronavirus.

Bit too hot today so closed for the afternoon, horses hosed off and in the shade and staff keeping cool too!

We have four Pony Care Fun Days over the Easter Holidays, and a few spaces left...
Monday 8th, Wednesday 10th, Monday 15th and Wednesday 17th. All 10am till 3pm, £35.
