A lot of people are stuck in a cycle of:
>train hard
>feel exhausted
>under recover
>lose motivation
>repeat.

More isn’t always better.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do for your progress is:
>sleep a bit more
>eat properly
>go for a walk
>and take the rest day instead of forcing another average session.

Recovery isn’t being lazy.
It’s part of the process.

If your energy is constantly low, your body aches all the time, your sleep’s poor and your performance is dropping… your body is probably asking for a break, not more punishment.

Train hard, of course.
But recover hard too.

That’s what allows you to actually stay consistent long term.

A lot of people want the result without accepting that there does still need to be some level of compromise.

You probably can’t expect to:

• feel your best
• stay lean
• improve your fitness
• and make progress in the gym

…whilst eating and drinking whatever you want every weekend.

That doesn’t mean never going out or being overly strict either.

For me, it’s more about having standards and structure most of the time, whilst still enjoying life without guilt when I do go out.

A lot of progress comes from having a bit of clarity.

What you’re doing.
What you’re aiming to improve.
And giving it time to work.

Most of the time, it’s just about keeping things simple and sticking with it.

We’ve all been there. You feel like the person you are today is just who you’ll always be, but it’s not true. The way you see yourself shapes what you think is possible. As your values change, so does your identity.

What’s one way you could see yourself a little differently? Identify it and take a step towards that.

Huge congrats to my 2 clients - Rups & Heena who took on HYROX earlier this week and absolutely smashed it!!💥

Completing an event like this takes serious discipline, resilience and mental toughness which both Rups & Heena have - they showed up, pushed through and finished strong 💪

As your coach, I’m so proud watching you complete your goals and putting in the work week after week - this is what consistency & commitment looks like.

On to the next goal 🚀

If you’re feeling like you’ve had a slow start to the year, there’s good news, 2026 goals don’t expire at the end of January.

Use January to create new habits, build confidence in your actions and momentum.

Not started on your weight loss goals? Start now
Not signed up to the gym? Go and sign up
Not started your running program? Put your shoes on and walk out the door

Plans are great, actions are necessary.
