It's not every day you get to see the pool like this! 👀

With the water now drained, work is underway behind the scenes as part of the centre's planned maintenance programme. While things may look a little unusual right now, it's a great opportunity to see the pool from a completely different perspective.

Before draining the leisure pool on the first day of the centre closure, our lifeguard team took part in specialist spinal incident training. The session included a range of rescue scenarios, including incidents involving the flume, allowing staff to practise and refine their emergency response skills in a realistic environment.

Regular training is a vital part of maintaining the highest standards of safety. By continually developing their knowledge and practical skills, our lifeguards remain confident and prepared to respond effectively in any situation, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers.

They will be fully prepared to welcome everyone back once we reopen.

Bexhill Leisure Pool is now temporarily closed for a period of 12 -16 weeks. During this time, none of the facilities at the site will be available. In the meantime, customers will be able to access our sister leisure centres across Hastings, Hailsham, Uckfield and Crowborough.

We understand this closure will be disappointing for our customers and we appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential works are carried out. The investment will help ensure the facility is ready to welcome everyone back in the New Year with improved infrastructure and a more sustainable future.
