Bewdley Cricket Club is located on High Street, sandwiched between the idyllic River Severn and Red Hill at its Lower Park Headquarters. Set amid some of Worcestershire's finest rural scenery, the ground is considered one of the prettiest in the county.

📣 RESULTS 📣

💯 The 2s returned to the winners’ list in fine style on Saturday on the back of a few standout individual performances. 15-year-old Luke Corrigan once again proved his immense talent by scoring 122 off just 108 as he and Matt Cowdery (80) put on a 215-run partnership!

The batting masterclass was followed up with an opening spell from Rob Hill that sealed the win, claiming 5-20 from his 9 overs!

The win means the 2s are still in the hunt for survival on the final day, we believe in them! 💪

The 1s suffered their fist lost since May, going down by 18 runs in an entertaining clash against Coombs Wood, but there were still plenty of positives to be enjoyed. Firstly, a massive shoutout to the two debutants Dan Smith and last-minute call-up Phil Williams who played their part superbly throughout the day!

In an otherwise tough day for bowlers, George Hallam claimed 3-36 for his first 1s wickets, before 16-year-old Austin Ball almost got us home with the bat with a seriously impressive 81 off 64 balls!

🚨 TEAM NEWS 🚨

🧢 We have a 1s debut! Young Daniel Smith will be making his first-grade debut against Coombs Wood after a stellar season with the bat and gloves in the 2s and 3s! Fantastic to see yet another promising talent come up through the production line, go well Dan!!

The 2s will also play Coombs Wood with plenty on the line as they look to salvage survival with a great mix of youth and experience. Get down to support them if you can!

While there was no action on Saturday, there was plenty the weekend before when the 1s visited Belbroughton and the 2s hosted Pedmore.

🚨 RESULTS 🚨

🌧️ None of our three teams played single ball of cricket thanks to the inclement weather on Saturday…

🏆 Not that it worried the 1s, who became division one champions as a result! A day celebrations replaced the wash-out - trophy presentation is scheduled to be on the final game of the season!

🌺 The 3s joined shortly after dressed up in their best ‘bad shirts’ to celebrate the end of their season. While a washout is somewhat anticlimactic, captain Phil Williams and his team can be extremely proud of finishing third on the ladder! 👏

Rain was not ideal for our 2s who now have two games left to avoid relegation, but plenty were still in good spirits as they joined the 1s and 3s for a day of fun 🍻

🚨 TEAM NEWS 🚨

🔵🟡 One of Bewdley Cricket Club’s biggest weekends is upon us! In the 1s, the team’s first chance at becoming league champions is on the line after clinching promotion last week!

Our 2s on the other hand face an important clash against Himley in their battle for relegation survival, while the 3s can secure third on the ladder against Old Hill.

Fantastic to see some familiar names retuning to each side with a big shoutout to Luke Corrigan for earning his spot back in the 1s and to Adrian Evans’ selection in the 2s!

💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Our very own Guinness enthusiast and king of spin, Jack Mills, reached an incredible milestone on Saturday as he claimed his 700th league wicket for Bewdley’s 1st XI!

A true club great, Millsy’s left-arm orthodox has confounded Worcestershire Cricket Foundation league batters year after year, even though they are all arm-balls (sorry to reveal your secret, Jack)!

Unfortunately for Millsy, his mastery of spin remains only with ball in hand, a point he proved while batting on Saturday - swipe to watch his exploits with the stick 🏏

Rumour has it Jack is not done at 700, meaning Bewdley can hopefully enjoy watching him tear apart Premier Division batters next summer too!

Congrats Mills, here’s to many more to come 🍻🍻

📣 RESULTS!!!! 📣

⬆️⬆️⬆️ The 1s are going up! Yet another dramatic game that the boys managed to come out on the right side of, earning themselves promotion to the Worcestershire Premier Division, get in!!

Tom Odell’s 54* and Rob Combes’ 49 spearheaded the chase as Bewdley successful reached the 159 target with two wickets in hand. With the ball, Ben Hann took three wickets and was well supported by Harry Carr’s 1-13 off 8 overs, before Jack Mills chipped in with 2 poles (more on this during the week).

The win confirms promotion and also puts the 1s in the driver’s seat to become champions of division one!

In the 3s, a big shoutout to the father-daughter duo of Rob and Freya Hill who played their first senior league match together! Freya showed her old man how it’s done with a wicket and some red ink with the bat, great stuff Freya! 💪

It was also a great performance from Fin Giles who claimed 5-24 and hit 33* in what was ultimately in a losing cause.

It was a day to forget for the 2s as Pedmore proved too strong, winning by 8 wickets. Best performer was Rob Crane with 2-fa and 30*.

📣 RESULTS 📣

🎩🪄 We have a hat-trick on our hands! Rob Crane’s three wickets in a row may not have been recorded on camera (😭😭😭) but we can only imagine they were 90mph unplayable thunderbolts that not even Joe Root could keep out! Sadly it wasn’t a win for the 2s who lost by 3 wickets against Belbroughton, despite a brilliant 72 runs from 15-year-old Luke Corrigan!

The 1s were in need of an undramatic game after last week’s efforts, but as they say, this is Bewdley! Chasing 129 to win against Pedmore, the boys looked at 59-1 before losing 5 wickets for their next 9 runs 😅! They steadied and eventually got over the line by two wickets to ensure they kept their 41-point buffer at the top of the table. A big shoutout to Tom Odell for securing his 50th wicket of the season to go with more than 500 runs!

In the 3s there was a different type of hat-trick at Kinlet Hall (arguably as impressive?) but Five Ways Old Edwardians ultimately proved too strong. Shaun Connolly fell just short of a magnificent ton for Bewdley, hitting 97 off just 61 balls!

🚨 TEAM NEWS 🚨

🏏 Just 5 weeks left in the season and all 3 of our sides look very strong thanks to some big ins!

The 1s enter pink-ball/coloured-clothing season, while the 2s and 3s will both enjoy an injection of young stars hoping to take centre stage at Belbroughton and Kinlet Hall respectively!

🦉 As a thank you for all the support given to the club this season, admin has included a fun surprise from their recent holiday in Sweden which they would like to share!
