Wow! The response has been amazing. Firstly a huge thank you to Andy Lovesey Fishing for letting us use his water for this match. Fingers crossed we will do more during 2027 if you are interested, maybe a River Severn Barbel competition? In the meantime PLEASE READ THROUGH THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY

Here is how to book:

All bookings for this match are via Michelle Tuffley UK (not Andy). To book you need to message on WhatsApp or text 07427 798704 (this means Andy isnt inundated with calls).

This is a first come first served but we will have a reserve list.

Your place is only secure once you have been up to Bewdley Tackle and Leisure to pay in cash. Michelle will be in the shop this Sunday between 8.30am to 1pm to take money. If you are unable to drop in on Sunday, you have TWO WEEKS to pay for your ticket. We are having to be firm here because we have been inundated with messages from anglers. After that date your place will be offered to the reserve list.

Please note that your £25 entry fee is non refundable. It is for charity and if you can't make the match, 100% of the fee will go straight to Cancer Resrarch.

Now here is the small print - IF the match is cancelled due to flooding or extreme weather your £25 is going straight to Cancer Research. We won't be rescheduling the match.

There seems to be a little misconception lately that Severn Valley Barbel Products and our famous flavour Ambush™ are new to the scene.

We’re not. Far from it.

For 13 years, our products have been developed by anglers, for anglers. Our baits aren’t simply mixed, packaged and put on a shelf instead we have carefully developed and tested them. Until Adam is 100% happy, they dont get released.

Over those 13 years we’ve built a huge and incredibly loyal following of anglers who use our products season after season. The catches, photographs, messages and repeat customers we see every week speak louder than any advertising campaign ever could. Our social media, website and packaging might have been refreshed but our products are exactly the same!

Ambush™ isn't a new bait flavour trying to make a name for itself. It already has one.

But being established doesn't mean standing still. We're constantly learning, testing, improving and developing. Severn Valley today is stronger than it has ever been — and we're only getting better. We have lots more to come.

We’ve been here for 13 years. We’re here to stay.

Lisa sadly didnt get through to the final of the UK Barbel Masters. Her section wasn't fishing well and she did everything she could to get a bite. She never gave up to the very last second and that determination and spirit is one of the reasons we love her.

On top of fishing, Lisa has volunteered her time as a marshal too and will be remaining on the Trent for the last match. She will also be at the finals too. She said she "I'll be at the final regardless. I really enjoy coming, meeting new faces and speaking to old ones. You also learn loads". It is that attitude as to why we are proud to have her on the Severn Valley Barbel Products Team. She is an ambassador of the sport and we need more anglers like Lisa.

Well done to everyone who did get through, including our customers. Good luck to those fishing in the last match of the weekend.
