It's great watching what behavior you see on the track. This was unexpected and gave me a chuckle.

I always head down to the track with lots of time to spare as often the boys are sleeping in a morning and it seems very rude to wake them. However on competition morning we do have a schedule to keep to.

One of my lovely liveries cut a load of nettles and thistles from the track for the horses. Our horses don't like to eat...

One of my lovely liveries cut a load of nettles and thistles from the track for the horses. Our horses don't like to eat nettles until they have died or wilted for a couple of hours. So we netted them up and popped a few nets into our hay boxes. The horses loved them. 💕💕

You can lead a horse to water bt not make the drink..... Apparently it's the same with loose hay. Once Bertie is done or full he is done... Where as other horses just keep eating for much much longer or until the food runs out. Each horse is unique and it's great seeing their differences.

Any time myself and Bertie come back from away shows we get the feeling of being watched. Sure enough each time it's Hector on high alert waiting for Berties return.

Yesterday we had the lovely Kathy from KB Equine Therapy, Partnership for Performance come and treat some of the track ponies. Despite constant showers being in the forecast the day was predominantly dry so we could treat the horses on the track.
Thanks Kathy the horses love your visits.
