WE’VE FINALLY GOT A GAME ON OUR HANDS💪🏼

Over a month since our last competitive fixture so the boys are obviously very rusty but raring to go🔥

A tough training session this week broke the mould and dusted off the cobwebs and we anticipate a very high standard of football this weekend👏🏼

🏆 PLAYER OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 🏆

This months award was a tough one as we have spent all of November facing postponements and rough weather conditions therefore the award was based on performance in training🥵

Finley is a player that flies under the radar a little but a few words of encouragement throughout this months training sessions, he’s taken on board what he’s asked and his levels have just skyrocketed🚀

He’s found his feet in a full back position but his versatility allows him to play a number of positions and exceed in them all, a very worthy winner of this months “Player of the Month” award🏆

Well done Finley, you’ve set the standard for yourself👏🏼🤝🏼

OUR CUP RUN COMES TO AN END🤝🏼

The Hurricanes were well up against the odds today as faced Cottingham Rangers Whites who play their league action in a division above us so the quality was always there to be seen🤷🏼‍♂️

We set up initially very defensive to allow us fo work out what we needed to do to break Rangers down and despite going a goal down inside 15 minutes, we made it very difficult for Rangers to get into any forward momentum👏🏼

A handful of world class saves pulled up by our shot stopper Harry made it even more difficult for Rangers to get any further advantage and heading into the break we were still well untruly in the competition💪🏼

Overall there was very little to separate the 2 sides at the interval and we came in with a lot of hope that we could maybe unlock a goal or two in the second half🤞🏼

Ultimately we had nothing to lose in the second half so a change in system and more control on the flanks should give us a bit more going forward🤔

Again, very very little to separate the sides come full time, Cottingham were just more clinical than us and got up the pitch and through the thirds more quicker leading to them nicking cheap goals that could of been avoided🤷🏼‍♂️

A special mention to our shot stopper Harry who was there for the cameras with some cat like reflexes and pulled off some worldie saves👏🏼

Given the circumstances of this season, I think we need to be focusing on the league and getting ourselves back up there amongst the top half and hopefully we’ll start to gel a bit more of a team across the pitch🙏🏼

WE RETURN TO ACTION⚽️

After 3 weeks away from the pitch we return to action with an away fixture at Cottingham Rangers Whites⚽️

A team we faced last season in the league who are now firmly placed in the division above and although our meetings last year were tough, we put them to the test and this is yet another example💪🏼

🏆 OCTOBER - PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🏆

Often the smallest player on the pitch but he plays his heart out, we notice a big difference when he isn’t on the pitch playing them little “Ødegaard-esc” passes in behind the defensive lines🔥

The decision to award Joey this trophy was a fairly straightforward one, in recent weeks he’s been in the thick of it playing numerous positions and smashing every single one of them, topping it off with a match changing goal away Bridlington where… believe it or not, he scored a header from a corner👏🏼

A big well done from everyone at the Hurricanes and setting a good example🤝🏼🏆
