Cycling in the Straths

For the Strathnaver Challenge:

Stuart Swanson came home first for the men in 03:28:53, while

Rhoda Kennedy came home in 03:32:42 for the ladies.

In the Ben Hope Trail we had 2 lots of double winners:

Iain Miller and Will Calder came home first for the men in 03:03:25.

Susan Dean and Linda Smith came home first for the ladies in 04:40:30.

A very well done to all 👏

What a great day! Thanks so much to everyone who supported our event today, whether, cycling, marshaling, helping with the catering, feed stations, time keeping.

I'll get the times posted shortly. Thank you all and lets do it all again next year!

Please be aware that Cycling in the Straths 2026 annual fundraising cycle ride will be taking place TOMORROW (Saturday 23rd May) along a portion of the NC500 from Altnaharra road end / Hope to the Strathnaver turn off.

🚵‍♀️10.30am to approx 12pm expect cyclists on the road from Tongue travelling east for approx. 10 miles.

🚵12pm to approx 5pm expect cyclists on the road from Altnaharra road end / Hope to Tongue (approx. 9 miles).

Warning signs will be on the route and cyclists are briefed to allow overtaking. Route Maps below for details of inland route.
