This post was from 2 years ago, resharing as the message is still relevant
Have you ever felt so low and lost that you didn’t know where to turn?
Have you ever turned to drugs or alcohol to try and escape?
This was me for years
I had addicted to Co***ne until I was 32 (12 years in total)
Im now 45 with a few scars along the way
I was spending hundreds of pounds a week at my worst points, getting in debt, and lucky to be alive
Do you know what helped me??
Training.
It helped with my come downs and it felt like my way of getting on track.
My trigger for change?
Well two actually, getting arrested on losing your loved ones was the wake up call
I didn’t touch it after this
THEN the fu***ng weight PILED ON – I hit 103 KG and felt disgusting, body conscious, (pics are on insta)
For a while, I had no libido
I couldn’t run more than five mins without blowing out my arse
I found a way out
I started training (properly) with structure,
I took the guess work away with the help of a coach and started to learn some very basic habits on food and nutrition
(at this time, it was simply cut take away nights from four down to two ) but it was a start
Fast forward 10 years later
Here I am now coaching, learning and enjoying the journey
(biggest wa**er line that – but it’s true)
Why I am telling you this?
Simply, I have been there.
I have walked in these shoes, and LIVED EXPERIENCE
It can be difficult for and to open up and have an outlay to talk about things like this
I’m here for it.
If you’ve been or ARE in this situation and want to get your fitness and habits on track.
