👋 Meet Kirsten.
A former nursery nurse, Kirsten was looking for a change when family members encouraged her to give bus driving a go.
She quickly fell in love with the role, enjoying the variety, meeting new people and seeing somewhere different every day.

🐾 Travelling with Animals on Our Buses.

We’re happy to welcome dogs and small animals on board our buses, as long as they are safe, well‑behaved and considerate of other passengers and approved by the driver.

🐶 Please note:
✅Dogs are welcome on board but must be kept on a lead and sit on the floor at all times
✅Small animals may travel at the driver’s discretion, provided they are not a danger or nuisance
✅Animals must remain under control at all times and are not permitted on seats
✅The driver may decide if and where on the bus an animal should travel.

If you bring an animal on board, you are responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from its presence.

♿ Guide dogs are always welcome and will be carried at any time.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS FROM TWEEDBANK AND BACK!

Great news for anyone travelling by train to Borders Book Festival! There will be a FREE shuttle bus running from Tweedbank Railway Station to Harmony Garden and back.

Operated by Borders Buses, the shuttle buses will co-ordinate with train arrivals/departures and Borders Book Festival events on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June.

♿ Wheelchair Access On Borders Buses.

Our buses are fully accessible with a dedicated wheelchair bay, designed to accommodate a standard reference wheelchair.

🚌 Our buses:
Carry one wheelchair at a time, with priority given to wheelchair users -
with a low‑floor and fitted with ramps to make boarding easier.

For a safe and comfortable journey:

✅ Our drivers will stop as close to the kerb as possible.
✅ Please board and alight the bus facing forwards.
✅ Apply your wheelchair brake and use the grab rails during your journey.

Our drivers will do their best to make your journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible - please do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you require it.🚌
