Dojos in Berkhamsted, Chesham and Pitstone Ashridge Karate Academy (AKA) is a Goju Ryu Karate club for juniors and adults, based at a purpose built dojo in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The club is run by Sensei John Foster, who is a 4th Dan black belt. The club is affiliated with Goju-Ryu Karate-Do International (GKI) association. There are three classes each Thursday evening, for any level of kara

te student - juniors (aged 7 to approx 10 years)
- cadets (age 10 - approx 14 years) and adults (age 15+). Come and join us - your first session is free, and after that sessions are paid for monthly. Training at AKA karate club is based on traditional Okinawan training techiques - including kata, kumite and bag work. The aim is to improve both the mind and body, by applying techniques developed over many generations across the globe.
