✨ May class timetable…

At a time when I have felt ready to build the business back up and restart some of my other classes… life had other ideas.
My son is not coping at school due to his autism (PDA), so he is only attending for 2 hours each morning. I am reminding myself how incredibly lucky I am to have this extra time with my boy every day, especially when the sun is shining and we can learn a fun explore outside.

This does mean that my efforts and energy are needed elsewhere, so through May I will only be working two days a week. Monday and Friday.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope to be back with you all soon.

✨ Burnout recovery…

My 3 weeks off looked like this.
Chasing glimmers, endorphins and resting.

It was the reset I needed to find joy in moving again, and passion for all things nutrition.

My new focus is on all things nervous system, cortisol and stress management whilst being a parent to kids with additional needs.
Daily movement, hydration, colourful food… 🫶

“Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest” 💖

Spa days - weeks break - evening stay - gym everyday - walk outdoors - sunshine seeking - enjoying nature - good food - reading - rest - recovery - glimmers

Recent classes… 🤍✨

Sending a little love to my regulars and those new faces coming to class.

I wanted to share a lot of appreciation for the fabulous for her amazing work recently, it has been lovely to receive messages from you saying how much your enjoying class.

Thank you all for allowing me to have this time to look after myself. 🫶
I have been teaching on Monday evening still, and it has been lovely to see you all.

I will be back teaching full time next week, and will be having (a well deserved) holiday.

We then have a 2 week half term break - the only class running will be Monday 30th evening.

Updates on the new term in April coming soon. 💖

Sending so much love & hope you’re all doing ok.

“Hello, I am Sarah Jane. I am a proud mum and movement specialist who is passionate about helping everyone move no matter what phase of life they are in.

I have been a yoga teacher & personal trainer for 12 years now, and I have taught all over the world; in Canada, South Africa, the UAE & the United Kingdom.

Becoming a mother in 2021 & again in 2025. This changed my outlook on the female body and made my focus, on what the body can do, rather than what it looks like. I took a pre & post-natal yoga course which helped me to prepare for my both my births & recovery.

I joined Sophies classes from 8 weeks after my second baby, and I had felt really strong physically as had moved all the way through my second pregnancy but came to the classes mentally from a low place. And seeing other mums juggling time for themselves & their babes had a wonderful effect on me, I felt brighter, and that I could manage two more. Then one day Sophie messaged saying she had to cancel, and I honestly felt sad, I had really needed the class that day, thinking I am sure other mums were feeling that way, I offered Sophie my services to cover, as I know first hand how important these classes are for us mothers.”

A late formal introduction to Sarah Jane who has helped me so much these last few months. What a wonderful human she is.
Also - how fitting that there are now 2 instructors named “SJ”. 🫶💖

🤍

I want to share this properly and honestly…
I have arranged cover for my classes for the next 3 weeks.
I need to take some real time to look after my health.
My mental health / nervous system has been burnt out and I haven’t felt like myself for a while now.

I’m ADHD (possibly ASD), and when you’re wired like that you can run on adrenaline and hyperfocus for a long time… until your body just says no. Add being a mum into that- constantly go, go, go - and it catches up eventually.
My kids are ND too, as you know my boy is currently on a reduced schedule because he’s been struggling in school with his autism. It’s been a lot emotionally and practically. I wouldn’t change them for the world, but life has needed more from me lately.

There has been a few unexpected shifts with work because I just haven’t been able to be as consistent as I usually am with everything going on. It’s been a lot to carry.
Having to suddenly stop classes and not being able to compete in the (two) fitness competitions I’d signed up for was big wake-up call. I’ve been trying to push through for months, but I can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.

I always tell you how important it is to look after yourselves- physically and mentally. I need to take my own advice. I want to show up for you as my very best, not just a version of me that’s surviving.

So this is me pressing pause. Three weeks to reset, regulate my nervous system, and come back stronger and more grounded.

Thank you for the understanding and the support. It really does mean everything 🤍

This is for you. 🤍✨

For the nights where sleep comes in fragments.
For the mornings where your body feels heavy before the day even starts.
For the hormones that still haven’t settled, and the body that doesn’t feel familiar yet.
For feeding, holding, soothing, giving—over and over again.

And still… you train.
Maybe once a week. Maybe twice on a good week.
Not because it’s easy.
But because moving your body reminds you that you still exist.

You’re not trying to be who you were before.
You’re learning who you are now—
in a body that carried life, that keeps giving, even when it’s tired.

Please don’t compare yourself to 20-year-olds online with endless energy and full nights of sleep.
Your effort costs more.

Your strength is quieter, deeper, earned.
Showing up when you’re exhausted is courage.
Choosing yourself in this season is love.
Consistency right now looks different - and it’s enough.

If you trained this week while being everything to someone else,
I see you.

And you are doing something incredible.
🤍

05/02/2026

I don’t know what it is about me, but every time life decides to be a bit s**t, I feel the urgent need to start a WhatsApp support group.

This is not my first. Lockdown? Pregnant? Chat. Moved to Berkhamsted? Chat. Chaos? Always chat.

So here we are: a space for local mums (or any mums really) to:
•complain about how s**t our day was
•ask for advice on surviving life with ND small humans
•recommend podcasts/services
•or just coordinate walks, coffee, or wine
•look out for and support each other. We get it.

No judgment, no “shoulds,” just honesty, venting, and the occasional inappropriate meme.
Because some days, that’s all we’ve got.

Let me know if you would like to be added in. 💖

A quieter February 🫶
I am so glad to say goodbye to January.
Goodbye to the sickness and the dark gloomy days.
I love the feeling February brings, as we get closer to brighter days & spring blooms. 🥰

I need to take a little extra time for me, and for my family this month. I appreciate your support.

I will be with my boy lots more this month, whilst he is on a reduced schedule at school to see if that helps him.
If anyone has any experience of this part of SEND parenting I would love to chat.

The only class running in half term will be Monday 16th (both AM & PM). 🫶

This coming Wednesday Circuits will be on as normal, but then this class will be taking a little break through February.

Weekend sessions may run depending on my capacity and the weather week by week, so keep an eye on the WhatsApp or insta stories. 💖

Sending lots of love to you all.
