🤎 ✨🐴 Bella 🐴✨🤎

I’ve been working with Bella for quite a few months now, and I thought it was time to share her story. ☺️

When her lovely owner Heather first contacted me, she explained that Bella didn’t like many people and that previous therapists hadn’t even been able to touch her or previously need sedation. Of course, I said yes — anyone who knows me knows I have a soft spot for the tricky and misunderstood ones! ❤️

The first time I met Bella, she didn’t love me… but she tolerated me! So we made a little deal: she let me touch her without biting or kicking, and I gave her scratches in her favourite spot. It’s give and take, right? 😂

Fast forward a few months and look at us now. 🥹

Bella now trusts me enough to have a full hour of massage, work through her releases and, most importantly, switch off and relax with me.

Knowing she’s had such a traumatic year makes that trust even more special. I’m so grateful I can be one of the positive people in her life. 🤎

Bella reminds me exactly why I love what I do. Every horse is different, and sometimes we just need to slow down, listen and respect their boundaries.

No horse is naughty — they’re communicating.Give them time, patience and understanding, and you might just make a friend for life. 🥰

So proud of how far we’ve come, Bella. 🤎🐴

And a huge thank you to Heather for being honest and upfront from the beginning — that communication is so important for keeping everyone safe and giving the horse the best experience 🤎✨

This September, I'll be taking on a skydive to raise money for dementia. It's a cause that's become incredibly close to my heart, as my Nan has recently been diagnosed.
