The Curborough two day meeting last weekend was a hot one all weekend. Both bikes were running well, with just a few restarting problems, if I had to stop the bikes for any reason. Possibly heat problems as they were fine starting from cold π€ but thanks to Paul Machon for use of his start rollers and Mark Short pushing at the bottom paddock in that heat π₯΅. We got through the weekend so thanks to both of them. We had a slight hesitation on the 350 at top end but a simple plug change seemed to cure that for Sunday.
So how did we do in the forgotten era championships?
Saturday: 350 - 2nd
500 - 3rd
Sunday: 350 - 1st
500 - 3rd
Our promotion to 1st on Sunday on the 350 was due to young Arthur Short retiring after an off in practice on his 250. I saw him return to the paddock on the bike then leaving in the van - hope all is okay and we will see you soon Arthur. You were flying on Saturday - good luck from Team Greeves.
This weekend was the first time I got to see Faat Stuβs new Norton π. You can follow the Norton on Facebook at the Norton Hillclimber . Stu and I had planned to swap rides in the open rounds (he loves the Greeves ππ¬π§). I was on the Norton all fired up ready to go but unfortunately open runs were cancelled. A bit of a shame but thereβs always next year π Iβve got to say, the Norton is a cracking bike and itβs nice to see another British π¬π§ classic in the paddock. Good luck Stu, Iβm sure we will see more of you on the Norton.
The Greeves bikes are back in the workshop for a bit of maintenance. We will keep you posted on progress.
