🏉🎉 Amazing season! 🎉🏉

🏅 Season Celebration

Last week’s league celebration session was packed with smiles, laughter, medals, certificates, and plenty of proud moments! 🏅📜😊

We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of our fantastic Under 6s, 7s, 8s & 9s. They’ve grown in confidence, learned new skills, made new friends, and shown incredible resilience along the way — whether that’s bouncing back after a missed tag, trying something new, or getting back up after a tumble and carrying on with a smile! 💪🏉😊

A huge congratulations to all of our trophy winners across the different categories! 🏆👏 Every award was thoroughly deserved and recognised the fantastic effort, attitude, teamwork, and progress shown throughout the season. Well done to everyone who received a trophy — and a big thank you to all the children for making it such a brilliant year! 🖤🤍❤️

The move to Sunday training is already looking like a great decision, and we’re confident it will really pay dividends when Mini Rugby kicks off in September. 🏉

🎈 Final Session Highlights

Today was our final session before the summer break… and what a way to end it!

Our mixed Parent & Child participation tag game was full of laughs, brilliant effort, questionable tactics, and some very creative interpretations of the rules! 😂

There were some impressive runs, some heroic tag attempts, and a few moments where parents may have forgotten that the children were supposed to be the ones learning from them! 😉

The refereeing decisions were, naturally, completely fair, accurate, and beyond question… although there did seem to be a surprising number of appeals from both sides! 🤷‍♂️😂

Most importantly, we had fun, got everyone involved, and made some fantastic memories together — and that’s what rugby is all about. 🖤🤍❤️

☀️ Summer Break

We’ll now enjoy a well-earned summer break and will be back on Sunday 6th September, refreshed, recharged, and ready for another season full of rugby, fun, friendships, and hopefully fewer controversial refereeing decisions… although we can’t promise anything! 😄

🏉 Festival Day Success! 🏉

A huge thank you to for hosting a fantastic festival today. Despite the wet start, it was a brilliant day of rugby enjoyed by all.

👏 A massive well done to all of our Under 8s. The effort, running, passing, and teamwork on display were excellent throughout the day. Every player should be proud of themselves!

⭐ A special mention to today’s captain, Harry T, who did a great job leading the team.

We’ll be working on our tagging skills at training next Sunday, so let’s keep up the great work! 👍🏼

A big thank you as well to Sheffield Forgers RLFC for allowing two of our Under 9s to join their team. They faced some strong opposition, gained valuable experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. Experiences like these help our young players develop both on and off the pitch.

We’re looking forward to a very busy weekend of rugby before our Spring Bank Holiday break next weekend!

Saturday plans:

fit4rugby Tots Rugby 🧸We kick off as normal tomorrow 930-10AM, But with the lovely warm weather, we’ll be making the most of it and heading outdoors for our first session of the year! ☀️🌿

Important parking note 🚗When leaving Belton, please exit around the field and out onto Jeffrey Lane. Bassetlaw will be bringing a large number of children, so we want to avoid congestion at the main High Street entrance.

U7–U10s (Groups 2–3) 🏉🔥Our first rugby league game of the season! We’re excited to welcome our local rivals, Bassetlaw Bulldogs. They’re bringing a big squad, so let’s get the kids ready — if last weekend at Thorne is anything to go by, they’ll be fantastic! 💪

⏰ Arrival time: Please arrive by 10:00 latest to allow time for preparation.🍎 Snacks and food will be available.🏁 We expect to finish around 11:30–12:00.

Sunday special! 🎉🏟️We’re proud to be mascots and flagbearers at the Doncaster Dons rugby league game — a top-of-the-table clash against London Broncos! It should be a fantastic experience for the kids and a great game to watch 🙌

Can’t believe how quickly the season has come around — that’s the rugby union season wrapped up and rugby league underway! 🏉🌟

Saturday:
Tots Rugby will run from 9:30–10:00, followed by Under 9/10s training from 10:00–11:30 at Belton Park Pavilion, as normal.

Sunday:
There will be no training for the Under 7s and Under 8s due to Mother’s Day.

🏉🖤❤️🤍U7s, U8s & Mixed U9s Match Report – Sunday 8th Feb 🤍🖤💙🏉

Firstly, a big well done and thank you to Thorne for two really competitive games last Sunday. They showed great intensity, moved the ball well and kept the pressure on throughout. It’s always good to see positive rugby being played 👏🏉🌟

Now to our Isle superstars 🌟

💪 Mixed Under 9s

I am SO proud of this group! Everything really came together on Sunday. From the first whistle they were focused, communicating brilliantly, tackling strongly, passing sharply and working so hard for one another.

I’ll be honest — before the game I wasn’t sure the concentration was quite there… but I was very happily proven wrong! 😅 It turned into a fantastic team performance from everyone involved.

🌟 Under 7s & Under 8s

Another brilliant effort from our younger groups. There were loads of positives to take from the game — strong runs, brave tackling and some lovely teamwork on show.

Although Coach Chris was happy with many aspects, his words summed it up perfectly:
“Great effort today — let’s use our 👂🏼 next time!” 😂🏉

We keep learning, we keep improving, and most importantly we keep enjoying it. That’s what it’s all about 💪

A big shout-out as well to our recent fixture away at Retford 💛💚— the kids absolutely loved it and had a brilliant time Great rugby, great atmosphere, and plenty of smiles all round!
