Allegedly it’s the best run in Derbyshire!! Are you the one missing out?

Remember the important parts. Homemade cake in the village hall after. Tea, coffee and even a pint of beer!! See you all on 20th September raring to go!

It’s not long now before the ‘Fritchley 5 Mile Run’! Have you got your place booked?

Here’s a few photos from last years race to remind you all just how great it is!!

A beautiful route organised for you all in support of our beautiful village! Keeping the doors open on our village hall and church. Loads of villagers out marshalling, baking cakes, serving tea and trying our hardest to make this a great event for you all!

We’ve also been lucky enough this year to have a Fritchley Resident to sponsor the event! We couldn’t be happier. Daniel Newton from 2JCP!

Local resident Dan Newton and owner of local engineering business 2JCP based at Butterley has kindly offered to sponsor this years run!!

2JCP will be at the brand new finish line with a bottle of water both supplied by them! They are also making a very generous donation to us! All funds raised get pumped back into the village to keep the village hall going and pay for constant repairs needed to our lovely church!

It’s an event where the whole village gets involved baking and volunteering on the day to make your run as special as possible!

AMBER VALLEY ROTARY kindly donated us a set of brand new hi-vis tabards for all our volunteers on the big day. Now we just need some volunteers!!!

We’ve had lots of village residents who would love to walk the run. You said it and we’ve done it!

Tomorrow we will be meeting on The Green, Fritchley at 9am to walk our fantastic ‘Fritchley 5 Mile’.

It’s 5 mile long……and is hilly but it’s a beautiful walk and we’d love you to come along!

Also great if you think you’d like to marshal next year!
