Relief, pride, and pure joy. England Hockey posted this incredible moment as we celebrated a season-defining win — a victory that saved our Men’s 1s from relegation.

Congratulations to players from our EH T1 U16 Cup winning squad ( Dominic, Tom and Rory) who progress from the Talent Academy Cup to the initial assessment phase for the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 U18 squad. We wish them the best of luck as they move to new clubs for the upcoming season.

Please find a message from Esther’s daughter, Pip, regarding her funeral .

Following the announcement of the passing of Esther Waters, please see below for the funeral arrangements for those wishing to attend:

Thursday 7th August, 12:00pm. North Chapel, Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield, S35 8RZ.

Please join the family afterwards at The Barn, Cubley Hall, Pen*stone, S36 9DF to raise a glass and regale one another of your fond (and quite possibly funny!) memories of Esther.

As you all know, Esther/Mum was so full of life, our shining light. Therefore, in her memory, please wear something bright and colourful. We believe she wouldn’t want everyone in black.

It is with great sadness we write to inform you that former player Esther Waters (nee Spalton) passed away surrounded by her family after an heroic battle with illness on the 13th July.

As many of you will remember she was a formidable player in defence and you definitely would want her on your team! A beautiful, funny and kind lady who always had a story to tell! She will be missed by so many hockey players throughout Derbyshire.😢

Our thoughts are with Graham, Max, Pip, Izzy and all her friends and family.

The funeral will take place on the 7th August at Grenoside Crematorium at Midday followed by Cubley Hall, Cubley, S36 9DF.
