Well done to Belper BC rider, Lindsay Barnes for completing the hilly Welsh Ironman!
2.4 miles swim - 112 miles ride - 26.2 miles run!

After not making the cycling cut off last year, Lindsay came back and smashed it!

SUNDAY CLUB RIDE
Four becomes five... 4 of us started from Triangle (apols for camera flap getting in photo) heading eastwards and then joined by Andy W at the very friendly Dale Abbey Windmill cafe. Despite him not being in regulation club kit, we allowed Andy to ride back with us and amazingly didn't get rained on at all. Nice easy route and good company 🙂

SATURDAY CLUB RIDE
6 riders on the main Saturday ride with 4 on the slightly easier inters ride.
The weather started glorious but as forecast we encountered several showers some of them quite heavy.
Just when we thought we were going to get to the cafe at Wetton Tea Rooms in the dry we discovered the cafe was closed.
The inters group headed to the post office at Hartington with one Sat group heading to Wetton Mill and another to Hulme End.
A great but hard day out with great company.

Great ride today with Shaun and Andre. Some new climbs ,on return from Hassop Station over back of Bakewell and down to Haddon Hall.
Couple of tough climbs but made for wonderful views.

TUESDAY CLUB RIDE
16 riders out in 2 groups on the rather lumpy Windley loop.
We successfully dodged the showers on the way round before finishing at the Holly Bush for refreshments.
The slow group had very little to report and when asked a member of the front group reported that “F**k All” happened on thier ride.
