Esme raced at GYG kart circuit for round five of the Ultimate Karting Championship.

There were seventeen drivers and we were the only ones to miss Friday practice

Good weekend at Three sisters race circuit for the Ultimate Karting Championship with Zipkart sponsored by Vetcare at Home

Had great pace in practice running P3 for most sessions.

In qualifying a back marker held up Esme and only qualified P10. Overtaking and making up a large number of positions is very difficult on this track

Overall lots of positives to take but qualifying was against us.

Update on progress over the last four race, weekends with Zipkart with Esme sponsored by Vetcare at Home

But this weekend we were at Karting North East for the Ultimate Karting Championship

We missed out on Friday practice as Esme was at a school residential. On Saturday morning with no way of getting to the circuit with family a taxi was arranged with Steve's Cars

Qualified p6 out of 14
Heat 1 p6-p6
Heat 2 p6-p6

Prefinal p5-p9. A driver pushed Esme off the track receiving a 5 second penalty

Final p8-dnf

Esme drove amazing, making her way through the field to p5 before a kart went over the top of Esme. The race was red flagged and not restarted

Esme was so disappointed and genuinely thought she could have a podium, with a great kart set up pace and driving in the final.

After being checked out by the Ambulance Esme was found to have no major injuries.

We are very grateful for all the Marshalls, Medics and UkC staff who looked after Esme. We also wish the other driver involved a speedy recovery.

Looking forward to the next round.

Great weekend racing Whilton Mill Kart Club sponsored by Vetcare at Home, with Zipkart team
Honda wasn't running so Esme tried out Micromax. During practice we realised Esme was 5kg overweight for this class so was always at a disadvantage.

Heat 1 P14-p11
Heat 2 P14-p13 after dropping to back of field as driver went into Esme at start.
Final P10-p13. A driver crashed into Esme causing her to drop towards the back of the field. Esme recovered to p13. A driver who crashed into Esme received a one lap penalty for causing a collision.

Overall a good weekend and Esme loved the Rotax karts.

Fantastic weekend at Whilton Mill Kart Club
racing in Honda Cadet 200 with Zipkart
The starts were chaotic due to rolling starts and with the Iame Cadet karts also on track so there were no false starts.

We missed Friday's heats so Esme was out of position starting P13 for the final.
Esme made it up form P13 to P6 before a Battenberg Flag came out closing up the field,
Esme got a 5-second penalty after the race and as the field was so closed up she dropped back down to P13.
Overall lots of positives to take from the weekend, and look forward to getting back out on track.

Heat 1 P1-P6. wrong Tyres on kart so grip was limited.

❄️🥶Kimbolton Club Championship R1 🥶❄️

The team headed out for the 2nd event of the year. Giving drivers a good shake down ready for the start of the season.

Everyone did amazing in their own way, but a special mention goes out to Esmee Rosie who secured her first trophy in Cadet Racing with a 4th place !! After starting 14th in the pre final she cut past 10 drivers holding 4th early on in the race and crossed the line P4️⃣ 💫💫

John Richardson - Great all weekend but a crash in the final stopped any progress. 14th in the A Final was a great achievement given how the heats went for him 👍

Sameer Paul - 7th on Track, great overtakes.. showed amazing progress throughout the whole weekend 💪💪

Great Result for Esme at Rye House Kart Raceway for the London Cup 2023 sponsored by Vetcare at Home
Qualified: P17
Heat 1: P17-P8
Heat 2 P13-P6
Final P8-P6 (was spun round twice by other Karts)

Esme really thought she could have challenged for a podium in the final, but on-track incidents prevented this.

Thanks to Earl and Luke at Zipkart for looking after the kart and advice during the weekend.

Great to see Theo Bradshaw Racing at the track and well done for P3.

Looking forward to getting back on track soon and hopefully finding more sponsors to allow us to race in more classes and events

Esme had an enjoyable but tough weekend at Warden Law sponsored by Vetcare at Home. Learnt lots, and progressing well. We are looking forward to the next round.
