Charity T20 at the Belper Amateurs vs Bramcote Cricket Club

We are hosting a charity T20 game at Belper Amateurs on Sunday 30th August to raise money for the amazing mental health charity, Mind.

We will have a BBQ and bar and a raffle too!

It would be great if we could have plenty of people come support and raise money for an excellent cause!

Chairman’s Thoughts

As some folk wake up with sore heads this morning I wanted to share some reflections on yesterday afternoon!

What a fantastic afternoon, the result was disappointing and I know for the players there are a lot of questions of ‘what if’ but to say how proud I am would be an understatement! Getting to the final was an achievement in itself, 4 games en route, 2 of which against teams in higher leagues in challenging conditions.

The support we received yesterday was phenomenal and shows what an incredible family the Ams have, thank you everyone for coming and I hope we put in enough of a performance to make you all proud (we outsupported all 3 of the other teams there yesterday)!

A special thanks to Jacob Kington on comms & Veronica Harrison for scoring!

We learnt what it takes to win the cup this year so hopefully we can come back stronger next year.

Not bad for the little old club on the hill!!

Now back to the grind of the league campaign where sore bodies and minds will persevere.
