Football Central Sunday's AFL are currently recruiting new teams. In a society were prices are increasing all the time we've decided to waive the league joining fee, so when you join it's 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘! Bellshill 4 - 0 Tilly

The Penultimate game of our season which has turned out to be disappointing, saw us take on Tilly FC at the Busby.

Game started really well with us dominating the ball and creating some early chances, with the backline coping with any threats.

The scoring started when some excellent 1-2 football was played resulting in Ryan Mac finishing low past the keeper.

The second goal came after a team press which lead to Reece Wilson snatching the ball off of the centre half and finishing well. Not long after, captain Tosh started an attack from centre half, driving up the park and lead to Dullah whipping in a worldie and Tosh got on the end with an elegant header into the far corner.

The second half was much the same, with a lot of Bellshill possession and not much happening at the other end. The new faces of McConnell, Todd and More playing their part in a well rounded performance.

The 4th goal came when substitute Kris rode a foul that resulted in losing his right boot… only to sprint beyond the Tilly defence and finish cutely with his sock!

Bellshill United AFC 1 Gartcairn 4

Tough one to take today for the hill. Played well for 20 minutes and then dropped out the game. Goal came from good work from Brandon Mann who crossed for Paul Ross Caughey who finished well.

Had a few chances didn't take them.

Half time

Second half we never turned up. Long range goal made it one each and we never recovered.
Gartcairn took their chances and before we knew it we were 3-1 down.
Again missed a few chances and got punished
Nowhere near the levels hwe needed to be

Blantyre Albion 3 Bellshill United 7

After last weeks result confidence was high in the Bellshill camp for the match against Blantyre a team who haven't lost many games this season. Bellshill started quickly and a combination of passes between Dylan Corrigan, Brandon Mann and David McShane led to Corrigan threading through Paulross Caughey who finished well. More neat play led to McShane setting up Caughey for his second. At Two nil Bellshill keeper Liam Running made a good save from the Blantyre striker to keep Blantyre out.
Dean McTaggart who had came on as an early sub then set up Caughey for his hat trick.
Bellshill were knocking the ball about by this stage with the defence of Mark McIntosh Danny McCloughey Stephen Deighan and debutant Aiden Condron mopping up any issues from Blantyre . A fourth goal arrived soon after when McShane set up Brandon Mann.

Bellshill took the foot off the gas a little after half time but a fifth was added soon after half time when Condron burst down the wing and squared for Deighan who finished from close range . Blantyre pulled a goal back but Bellshill kept searching for more goals and number 6 arrived when Scott McCallums shot hit the bar and bounced over the line. The ref never gave it but Deighan followed in and bundled the line. Blantyre then pulled another back
McCallum was then brought down in the box although it looked soft. And Deighan completed his hat trick from the spot. Blantyre scored a late goal to finish the scoring.

Ek Forest 0 Bellshill United 10

After a free week Bellshill travelled to Polo mint City for a league tie with EK Forest.
Bellshill took an early lead when a Ryan McNamara corner was headed powerfully by Aaron Bradley and the keeper saved well but the predatory Paul Ross Caughey was on hand to finish. Bellshill made it two when Ryan Naknamara made a reappearance and curled home a fantastic free kick.
McNamara then fed Brandon Mann who flicked the ball over the head of the bamboozled centre half and finished brilliantly for the goal of the game.
Number four arrived when Captain Mark McIntosh played a delightful ball through to McNamara who passed to Mann who curled the ball home.
Another foul on the edge of the box led to a free kick which David McShane decided to hit. His low shot pass may have taken a small deflection but ended up in the back of the net.

The second half was more of the same with the baby faced Ek team chasing the ball around as Bellshill probed for gaps.
Goal number six arrived when Aiden Rooney broke free and squared to Mann to complete his hat trick
Lucky number 7 came when a McNamara corner was headed home by Caughey. Bellshills 8th arrived after McShane sent Caughey free and he unselfishly (much to McShanes anger ie he wanted an assist) squared to Mann for his fourth.
Mann turned provider when he played in substitute Reece Wilson for number 9
Double figures were achieved when after a wee barf on the park Scotland's most hungover man Dylan Corrigan played a ball over the top and the still energetic Stephen Deighan rounded the keeper and finished. Special mention to the EK Forest keeper who kept the score down with some fantastic saves.

Bellshill united 5 Bellshill Athletic 2

Bellshill had their first home game for several weeks against local Rivals the youthful Bellshill athletic. A slow start for both teams meant the first half was a bit of a tepid affair with few chances. United however took the lead when Dean McTaggart out muscled the full back and crosses for top scorer Brandon Mann to make it 1-0. Athletic had a few chances but keeper Ross Ritchie didn't have a save to make.

The second half was a much better game after Athletic had mainly put our match balls onto the railway line they equalised from a defensive slip.
Bellshill then made a couple of changes and substitute Paul Ross Caughey sped clear and squared to Dean McTaggart in the box who rolled it to Brandon Mann to get his second goal. The excellent McTaggart then saw Rab Martin on the wing whose excellent long range effort sailed over the Keepers head to make it 3-1 . Bellshill then killed off the game when a ball fell to McTaggart in the box and his low rasping shot beat the keeper.
A flick on from Aiden Rooney then made it to McTaggart at the Back post and he headed home.
Athletic scored a late consolation goal to make it 5-2 at the final whistle.
Bellshill is still Red and Black

Been in this league for 8 months and it's very well run. Fixtures given well in advance and committee very helpful. Any teams looking for a new challenge drop them a message.

Central Rio 5 Bellshill United 6

An away game at St Andrews in Coatbridge today. Bellshill started well and Paul Ross Caughey opened the scoring after robbing the Central Rio defender and slotted home from 12 yards. Central Rio's mystery trialist the equalised from slack defending after a corner. Bellshill again went in front when David McShane set up goal machine Brandon Mann to make it two one. Again Bellshill went to sleep at the back and the trialist again scores
Bellshill dominated the first half from that point on.
Again slack defending allowed Ethan the Sheriff Copeland to steal the ball and make it 3.
Number 4 duly came along when a fibe tackle from Brandon Manners led to McShane setting up Caughey with a delightful pass.
Not long after another perfect slide rule pass from McShane led to Mann completing his hat truck

As seems to happen we lost focus and started aimless punts up the park and let Central score a couple to make it Five four.
Ross Ritchie then produced some fine saves to keep us in front
Abdullah Onal then played a delicious ball in to the box and Darren McPhie controlled the ball well and shot home to make it two goal cushion again.
Central scored with the last kick of the ball to make it six five .
No our best performance and on another day could have thrown away the points. We go back to the drawing board and look forward to finishing the season with some better performances.

Budhill United 5 Bellshill United 2

Bellshill travelled to the palace of arts for the last cup competition of the season. Bellshill started brightly and had a few good chances which were all spurned. Budhill had a s**t which rattled the post but apart from that Bellshill weren't troubled.

Bellshill started the second half poorly and Budhill took the lead. Bellshill equalises not long after when a Michael Patton free kick was knocked on by Ryan McNamara and Paul Ross Caughey finished well.
Not long after a long range free kick made it two one.
Bellshill fell out the game a bit pushing for a equaliser and Budhill picked us off on couple of occasions. Last 15 Bellshill went for it and got a goal back after David McShane sent Lee McBride away and he finished well.
Bellshill had a chance a 4-2 but the keeper saved well from Ryan McNamara.
Budhill ran up the park and scored after that.
