Strength isn’t measured by the number on the dumbbell.

For some, strength is lifting heavier than last week.
For others, it’s showing up consistently.
And sometimes, it’s watching the next generation discover just how fun movement can be. 💜

This week, 10-year-old Cara-Rose decided to give 25kg deadlifts a spin while her mum rested between sets. For her very first time putting her hands on a barbell, she looked right at home!

Safe to say she’s a natural—just like her mum. 💪✨

Every woman in our gym is on her own journey, and every journey deserves to be celebrated. Whether you’re lifting for the first time or chasing a new PB, strength comes in many forms.

The aim is to help your body rely more on stored fat for energy rather than constantly topping up glucose from refined and overly processed food choices.

It’s about building meals around colour, fibre, protein, and whole foods, while reducing fast-digesting white starches and added sugars. This helps slow the release of energy into the bloodstream, supporting a more stable, sustainable flow throughout the day and reducing the crash that comes after quick spikes.

What I love about a blood sugar reset is how it changes your relationship with food. Instead of defaulting to comfort eating or quick fixes like toast or sugary snacks, it encourages you to pause and ask what will actually satisfy you while still nourishing your body.

It’s not about restriction — it’s about creating a way of eating that feels more balanced, more satisfying, and more supportive of long-term health.
