This is our new member Cara with her husband and daughters.

Cara took part in day 2 of “Rory’s miles to Mayo” - led by rugby legend, Rory Best, achieving 26.2 miles.

The full walk challenge is 9 marathons in 9 days, covering over 235 miles throughout Ireland.

Funds raised throughout the 9 days will help to ensure that no child faces cancer alone.

This is the final chapter in a trilogy of fundraising walks by Rory and a team of business leaders for Cancer Fund for Children.

A wonderful thing to do Cara, well done, we hope the legs aren’t too sore and tired today.

Weekend shenanigans!
We had Rab Duffy taking on the Born 2 Run ‘break for the border’, then himself and Ciaran running 10k in Craigavon St Peter's AC Lurgan ‘Rock the Lough & Lakes’.
Deirdre, Louise, Mick, Peter, Bernie and Paul were in Portferry this afternoon running Abi's Butterfly Breeze 5k & 10k. By all accounts there was a ‘nasty hill’ but was soon forgotten about once the after race treats were offered!! Who doesn’t love a wee bun after a run!?
Congratulations to you all.
Well done to everyone else out running this weekend….one week to go!!

Yet an other busy weekend for our Coolers but we love to see it. 🤩

First of all we had a squad representing in Hungary at the 41st Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon 2026 and 10k yesterday. For some members it was their very first half marathon and am sure one they will never forget.
Many congratulations, we are delighted for you all. 🥳
Lisa, Annemarie, Katrina, Finola, Stephen, Chris, Brendan, John, Meabh and Eamon too!
Big shout out to Coach Gerry for keeping them all right (I’m sure!! 😆) and to their cheerleaders Josephine, Marie and Marianne for keeping the spirits high along the way! 💚🖤

Secondly we had SPAR Laganside 10km happening too, always a favourite in the race day calendar. Now one lad who will remain nameless was on his way to Derry to take part in the Waterside Half Marathon, however his car refused to work when only half way there!! Thanks to Jade Mcginness for sorting him out with a race day bib!! I think he might have been secretly delighted to run 10k rather than 21k!! (I may be wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

Last and by no means least to those out on their long runs, short runs, parkruns….all the miles have been clocked up rightly!! Fantastic effort by everyone.
