You’re invited to join me for an Autumn Equinox Gathering on Sunday 20th September, 2.00pm ~ 4.15pm at October Wood, Belfast. ��Cónacht an Fómhair ~ Autumn Equinox marks equal night and day, the second harvest and the tipping point towards Samhain. The wisdom of this season invites us to tune into the changing and shedding leaves as we close this cycle and move towards Samhain, the Celtic New Year, the darkness, where the ancients believed that everything began.

This workshop will offer practices connecting to the energy of Autumn Equinox;
* Nature immram
* Movement practice
* Celtic & seasonal wisdom
* Fire ritual
* Gathering in community & craic

This workshop is a trauma-informed and mental health aware practice that is inclusive of all bodies and experiences. No prior movement or meditation experience is required.

October Wood is a private woodland tended to by our friend Alexey. It’s a wee oasis on the outskirts of Belfast that our community has built a reciprocal relationship over the past few years.

A Chairde ~  Friends,

How are you finding the tairseach ~ threshold of late Summer into Autumn? I’ve always found it a bit wobbly. A couple of years ago I found out that in Ayurveda (the science and health studies side of Yoga) that this time of year is when Vata ~ Wind energy is highest, which can bring about feelings of anxiety and feeling a bit unrooted. This definitely resonates with me, especially while also navigating the wavy and wonky times that we’re living through. 

Cónocht an Fómhair ~ Autumn Equinox is around the corner and invites us to dance with those polarities.
I’ve some seasonal offerings (some free!) coming up that may be helpful to find steady during the fluctuations.

❤️‍🔥🌾 Misneach ~ Courage

Misneach is the courage it takes to trust and walk the path of your purpose, to use your voice to speak up about injustice, to do the boring hard stuff every day to build towards your dreams.

My biggest misneach moment this year…

🌊 Leaving my job to work on Tulca Belfast ~ we’re on a mission to break down barriers to communities accessing wellbeing practices. Founding an organisation aligning with your values and dreams, while also being sustainable and figuring out finances is a windy uphill path at times but I also feel so lucky to be following my dream and building with some of the best people I know! (You know who you are ❤️)

🌾Lughnasa Gathering

The Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann falls on the Celtic festival of Lughnasa, the first harvest. We’ll be guided through a movement practice, a nature meditation, invited to reflect on the gifts of this season, with time for craic, scéaltaí ~ stories and ceol ~ music in a wild spot in South Belfast.

🌊 🌊What a gorgeous day it was.

We've spent all week looking through the photos of our community care day and analysing the stats from feedback forms. It's pretty clear to see:

Tulca's Community Care Day was a huge success!

The joy, trust, and reciprocity in these pictures speaks volumes. People got to rest, to be nourished, to connect. We had some birthday celebrations, babas and kids joining in, people of all different ages and backgrounds practicing wellbeing together.

We're still getting messages from people sipping their herbal teas at home, bringing the memories of the day into their everyday life!

Then there are folks still floating around in the world after gorgeous massage and relaxation!

We couldn't have done all this without funding from and who let us take over their space so generously!

So much gratitude to the people who made the day run smoothly Maggie Mc Keever Yoga, Lucie Chenet Rea, Patricia Lübeck, Morag on evaluation and Claire welcoming everyone.

Thank you to the facilitators and therapists Grá Fianta Herbal ~ Leasha Hogan, Orla Wallace Yoga Pieces of Yoga Belfast Essentially Birth, and Dalua.Care - massotherapy and Rana for translating.

And a final but most important THANK YOU to everyone who came along, engaged with each other, shared meals, had chats, and set a reminder that community is wanted deeply by people in Belfast! A special shoutout to Anaka Women's Collective for joining us.

We've got a great mix of Yoga, Mindfulness, Herbal Tea Making, Massage Tasters and Creative Activities ready to go!

Our facilitators are all well versed in working with people from all walks of life and our offerings are trauma-informed.
We believe wellbeing is a human right and want to make sure everyone has access to tools and practices that actually make a difference.

The wisdom of this season invites us to expand into our light, to connect to the sensuousness of the season, to play with our inner child and to make space and center our desires and our community.
