Another Monthly Study Group session completed.

Stretching, 2-person stretching, Line-work and Combinations, 2-man routines involving Jodan/ukes, Keri-ukes, Ohyo and Kihon Gumite, and Kata.

Plenty covered tonight - well done folks!!

Superb work tonight folks in our Monthly Study Group session geared toward our syllabus.

Starting off with a good stretch and 2person stretching before moving into our break-fall drill, line work (dialling in on technique/posture/footwork).

Next up was our versions of Keri-Uke (receiving kicks) which ended up with the enemy on the floor and finish (option 1 self protection) or going to the ground to finish with a knee bar (option 2 playtime/fun).

Finishing jp with shadow fighting as our cool down.

Great nights work - we’ll be back at it this coming Monday from 7-8pm.

Another black belt added to our ranks. Club coach Eric Forsythe was awarded his Bjj black belt yesterday from SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh after 11 years training in jiu jitsu on top of the 40+ years training in Karate.

Was great that David Dougan and Ciaran McDowell were there to share in the experience.

The journey continues..

Today was a good day
Thanks again to Coach Kavanagh for coming up and sharing the wealth of knowledge he has on jujitsu
The technique and coaching was second to none and the vibes as always were powerful!

It was also amazing to witness Eric Forsythe,Aaron Browne and Stephen Bell receive their black belts after a decade of hard work and commitment

Well done lads,its an honour and a pleasure to be walking this road with yous
