A little end-of-summer reflection🐝✨

As we head into competition season, it’s important to pause, reflect and reset.

What went well? What have we learned? What can we improve? Where do we want to go next? 🎯

Progress isn’t always about doing more — sometimes it’s recognising how far you’ve come, celebrating wins, learning from challenges and setting new goals for what’s ahead🌟

A wee while back, I completed my Youth Strength & Conditioning Certification 🏋🏼‍♀️✨

Continued learning and upskilling is something I really value, especially when working with young athletes and dancers.

As a coach, I want to continually develop my knowledge, expertise and understanding so I can provide the highest standard of coaching possible. With my work being so heavily dance-specific, it’s important to me that I’m constantly learning how to apply S&C in a way that is appropriate, purposeful and relevant to dancers.

One of the most interesting parts of this journey has been recognising that dance-specific S&C is still an evolving area. There’s so much to learn, question and develop — and that’s exactly what makes it exciting.

I’m committed to continuing to learn, adapt and refine THEKDJWAY, with the goal of helping young dancers become stronger, more resilient and better equipped for their training and performance💪🏼
