Club colours are green, red, and black. The club's current manager is Eddie Patterson. Linfield and Glentoran are nicknamed Belfast's Big Two, as they have traditionally dominated local football in Northern Ireland since the de

mise of Belfast Celtic. The two play a league match on Boxing Day each year, which regularly attracts the largest attendance of the Irish League season. Glentoran have other rivalries with two of the North Belfast clubs, Crusaders F.C. and Cliftonville F.C.. Portadown F.C. are also great rivals of The Glens. More recent examples are Glen Little, Stuart Elliott, Andy Kirk and Andy Smith, with Elliott, Kirk and Smith going on to become members of the Northern Ireland squad. Back to business this season with the camera returning to the pitch last week to see the Wee Glens away to Crusaders reserves at Seaview.

Glentoran 2 Vs Crusaders 3

This match played at Seaview turned into a real gripping encounter, some real edge of your seat moments experienced by the reasonable sized crowd whom were treated to an overall fine football spectacle. Congratulations to both teams for producing this excellent advertisement for the NI Reserve League.

Glentoran 4 Vs 5 Warrenpoint

Amid freezing and gale force winds, the 'Wee Glens' suffered a surprising defeat to Warrenpoint who commanded the game in the first half with a 4 - 1 lead over the Glens. We did well to return to almost evening up the game in the second half.

Glentoran 0 Vs 2 Dollingstown

Once again another very entertaining and thrilling game to watch against the League 2 side in the intermediate cup. An unfortunate result despite such a quick and attacking game of football.

Wednesday 21st January
Glentoran 0 Vs 1 Crusaders

Hard fought game on Wednesday but disappointing to see such a result. Highly entertaining game despite such horrible weather conditions, seeing the "Wee Glens" loose to a late goal in the second half to Crusaders.

Just to put out a bit of an update, due to lack of posts over the past few weeks, unfortunately due to work commitments I have been pretty busy. I am posting to request secondary admin to help run the page along with myself.

If you would be interested please private message myself and I will let you know. I am needing someone who is active on the irish league forms. Thanks.
