Swing Dancing generally refers to a group of dances that developed from the 1920's through to the 1950's with the "swing" and jazz music of the era. Originating in Harlem in 1927, it got it's name from the famous Lindbergh flight across the Atlantic, from New York to Paris. Lindy Hop really is the mothership of all the swing dances. ding jazz , tap and many African American dances. Swing Belfast mainly teach Lindy Hop, Charleston and East Coast Swing. We are always keen to welcome new students, so come and give one of our classes a go!
